From Your Principal
Hello Hairgrove families,
Hairgrove Elementary is a special place to learn and grow. Our educators are dedicated to providing the best possible instruction while helping all students to become well-rounded individuals with a bright future. The school-home partnership is very important in helping our children to be as successful as possible in life.
Please remember that there are many things you can do at home to help with your child’s education. Some of these include:
- Practicing math facts at home, in the car, or at the store.
- Reading each day for at least 15 minutes.
- Using ‘Closed Captioning’ on your TVs.
- Ensure that homework is completed each day.
- Setting attainable goals for your children in regards to school.
- Checking your child's Thursday folder every Thursday
- Communicate with teachers regularly regarding your child's academic progress
It is crucial that we all work together to achieve success for all our Hairgrove dolphins.
Please call the school if there is any way that we can assist you! Thank you for your support!
Michelle Lee
Principal
Attention Parents, reminder from attendance office:
Please remember that whenever your child is absent, we must have a note from you explaining why the absence occurred. All notes must include the child’s first and last name, the date of the absence, the reason for the absence, and your signature. If you have a doctor’s excuse, please attach it the note. Please feel free to use the attached form and make copies for future use. Thank you.

Reminders from Nurse Paul
Dear Parents of our wonderful Dolphins. Please take note of these few reminders from the clinic.
Please pack a change of clothing ( including underwear) for your child, regardless of the grade. Accidents happen to children of all ages and loaner supplies are very limited in the clinic.
All medications require a medical authorization form filled out and signed by the healthcare provider in order to be signed into the clinic. The district no longer accepts prescriptions written on the bottle as the order. For asthma, allergies and seizures, you also must have an action plan that is filled out and signed by the healthcare provider. These act as my order so that I can give the medication. If you bring me the medication without these necessary forms, I will not able to accept the medication.
For all parents with their children on catch up schedules for immunizations, please keep up to date with your child's shots. Once completed, please send proof to the clinic. I would like to avoid having to send children home; however, It is my responsibility to make sure that all families on campus are complying with Texas state law. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
Have a wonderful, safe and healthy February,
Nurse Paul
