PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
Monday begins state testing for all of our 3rd through 6th graders. The Smarter Balance Assessment is an important test for our students and our school. Student performance on the SBAC is part of the information made available to the public on the California State Dashboard Site.
In preparation, teachers have provided students opportunities to explore the content and test format. Thank you Mrs. Hong for setting up the practice test incentive program. Every day of testing, our Kindergarten - 2nd graders will cheer and root for the students as the walk into their classrooms. As teachers monitor the students taking the test, students will earn tickets for the daily raffle prizes.
Help your student be successful. Make sure they get plenty of sleep, eat well, charge the Chromebook, and give your child words of encouragement. It is a long and challenging test. We want everyone to do their best and show what they know. Thanks.
Go Otters!
Mrs. Horton

Lodi USD has released a new Middle School Course Catalog! It includes information about core subjects such as English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Science, Physical Education, and foreign languages (available at select sites). Please note that elective offerings vary by school, and site staff will provide additional details. The catalog also includes information about A-G requirements to help families understand college and career readiness. While the College/Career Indicator (CCI) and Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways are part of high school, middle school is a great time to start thinking about future opportunities.
