Yearbooks Delayed
Please see the letter from Balfour about the delay on our Yearbooks.
Valued Balfour Customer,
You are receiving this message because your Yearbook has been affected by unforeseen manufacturing delays, causing your books to be delivered after their originally scheduled dates. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused.
We want you to know we are working hard to produce your books quickly and with great quality. In the meantime, we are working with your Yearbook Adviser on how to work through this challenging situation and move forward.
We want to acknowledge that these delays are not the fault of your Yearbook Adviser, Staff, or Sales Representative. They have worked diligently throughout the year, and your school should be proud of the work they have put into creating this publication.
Again, we sincerely apologize for the current situation. We know you will love your book when it arrives, and we have full confidence this will never occur again. We remain thankful for your continued patience and understanding and look forward to delivering your amazing yearbook.
Sincerely,
Balfour Management Team
What Does the Delay with Yearbooks Mean?
We are very disappointed that Balfour will not be able to deliver the yearbooks before the end of this school year. They are sending autograph books for all students who ordered a yearbook. These will be given to students as soon as we receive them. The autograph books can be added to the yearbook like an additional page in the book.
At this time Balfour cannot give us a delivery date. However, as soon as we know when we are receiving the books, we will arrange a pick up date and time.
We are also working with PTA to set up a couple of spirit nights where students can pick up their yearbooks at the restaurant and have their friends sign. We could also do an evening at PTE on the playground for signing and catching up with friends.
If you have additional questions or concerns, please reach out to Stacey Domzalski at domzalskis@lisd.net. She will be able to help you.
Sincerely,
Wendi Vaughn

Liz Morgan - 4th Grade Teacher
How many years have you been working in education? 19 years
What do you love about working at Prairie Trail? I have only taught at Prairie Trail; I started here 19 years ago. I love the community that we are all a part of. The staff and families at Prairie Trail work so well together to create a positive learning environment for all children.
Why did you become a teacher? I became a teacher because I wanted to make the world a better place. If one child lives a better life because of the education I was a part of, I will have succeeded.
What is something most people don't know about you? I was born in England and immigrated to the United States right before kindergarten.
Amy Phillips - 2nd Grade Dual Teacher
How many years have you been working in education? Finishing my 8th year.
What do you love about working at Prairie Trail? I love how the students and their families care about each other.
Why did you become a teacher? I became a teacher after I realized how much I enjoyed teaching my own kids.
If you could travel anywhere in the world where would it be and why? If I could travel anywhere in the world, it would be to Spain. My husband and I love visitng Spain - the tasty food, beautiful scenery, friendly people, and overall atmosphere make us feel like we're experiencing something special.
Katie Florentino - 5th Grade Teacher
How many years have you been teaching? 5 years
Why did you become a teacher? I became a teacher to make a difference. The kids we see everyday are our future, and I wanted to be a part of shaping that future.
Why do you love teaching at Prairie Trail? I love the community at Prairie Trail. The staff and families are always so helpful, understanding, and willing to adjust to do whatever is best for the students. Prairie Trail is also very family oriented, and that is huge for me.
What is something most people don't know about you? Most people don't know that I was a gymnast and was training for the Junior Olympics, when I blew out my left knee. I was told I would never be able to do gymnastics again, so I chose to pick up slacklining to strengthen my knee and pretend I was back on a balance beam. Now my husband and I slackline in our free time for fun.
Dulce Sharp - 5th Grade Dual Teacher
How many years have you been teaching? This is my first year as a teacher
Why did you become a teacher? I love the opportunity to share new learning with students.
Why do you love teaching at Prairie Trail? It's an amazing experience here at PTE. Everyone is very welcoming, helpful, and with so much kindness and love for what they are doing. PTE has a great team and definitely FANTASTIC SUPPORT!
What is something on your bucket list and why? Greece is on my bucket list. What a magical place to see and visit. I would love to go to Greece for so many reasons. The mythology, stories, history, the food and tradition of the country plus the beauty of their beaches.
