Behavior for Concerts
Our student musicians are preparing music to present at our upcoming performances which represent hours of hard work and dedication. They are rightfully proud of it. Audience members are just as important as the talented students performing on stage. Our musicians' family and friends deserve the right to hear their student perform without excess noise or distractions by fellow audience members. Therefore, students are to be under the direct supervision of at least one trusted adult at all concerts in the PAC auditoriums (Kettering or Mott High School). Students who are performing on stage must sit with a trusted adult when they are waiting to perform or when they are watching other groups perform. Friends of our student musicians who do not perform that evening must also sit with at least one trusted adult while they are watching the performances. No student at any time should be unsupervised, sitting alone or sitting in student-only groups. Only student performers and directors are allowed to walk on the stage, the apron (the walkway to the stage) or behind the stage. When the concert ends, students will exit first to pack up and then meet their trusted adult in the lobby outside the PAC auditorium. Please also be aware that due to copyright, no one is permitted to take a video of the performance and post it on social media. This breaks copyright law and large companies (like Warner Bros.) could fine you a lot of money. We look forward to wonderful concerts on May 7 (Band and Choir) or June 3 (Orchestra).
Sincerely,
Ms. House and Mr. Grinage

As a school, our goal is to offer an environment that is conducive to learning. We are an educational institution, preparing our children for life-long learning and the world of work. With this in mind, we work hard to establish an atmosphere that is respectful to all, encourages work, is sage and does not distract from the learning process. Our dress code policy is aligned with these goals.
The school has a right to ask a student to change his/her dress or personal grooming habits if it is deemed inappropriate or disruptive to the educational environment. Repeat violations of the dress and grooming code shall be considered defiance of authority and may result in disciplinary action as described in the Student Code of Conduct. Administrators will make the final determination as to what constitutes appropriate attire.
