The Weekly Update

Hello everyone,

Congratulations to the Lumberjack volleyball team for punching their ticket to state this weekend after taking second place in the 1A D3 District Championship! They will travel to Twin Falls for the State Playoffs at Canyon Ridge High School October 31 - Nov. 2. Here is a link to the State Tournament bracket. Good luck girls! The football team also punched their ticket into the State Playoffs with their win over Salmon River this past Friday. They are the Long PIN Champions and get to enjoy a first round bye! Way to go boys! And don't forget about the Cross Country team who qualified sophomore Greer Green to State this weekend at Eagle Island State Park! We have so much to be proud of with our Lumberjacks! Stay tuned for our send-off to State for our volleyball girls!

It's that time of year again when we see quite a few of our kids taking some days off from school - elk season. While hunting is important for putting food on the table and spending time with family and friends, please remind your student the importance of attendance! Things you can do to maintain attendance are to (1) prioritize your student's education, and (2) plan your hunts for the weekends and after school to maintain attendance. If the hunting bug proves to be too much to handle, please be mindful of your student's attendance so far this school year. School policy requires missing no more than 7 days of school in a semester. If your student is close to this threshold, please prioritize attendance over hunting!

Jr. High Student of the Week: Brayden Duncan - nominated by his teachers for always working hard, tries to learn, and is a pleasure to have in class. Way to go!

High School Student of the Week: Trynidi Powers - nominated by teachers for always being thoughtful, kind, and hard working. She is always willing to lend an extra hand too! Great job!
