• Our Kids Heart Challenge assembly is THURSDAY! Your student will learn about heart healthy habits and how to help people with special hearts! Our goal is to have 100% of our school families register and learn Hands Only CPR through Finn’s Mission to create a community of lifesavers

  Students who register TODAY will be honored at our assembly on THURSDAY!

  2. Start Finn’s Mission in you headquarters to learn hands-only CPR and how to spot a stroke F.A.S.T.

  SPECIAL INCENTIVE: Students registered online will be recognized during our assembly and be entered into a drawing to earn XL heart hero, BUSTER!

Please remember to use caution while driving through the school parking lots and follow the posted speed limit to help ensure the safety of our students. Friendly reminder- middle school students are still in session in the afternoons, so please drive cautiously through their school. Thank you!

Immunization Exclusion Day is February 21, 2024. All students not in compliance with Oregon's Immunization law will be excluded from school on that day, and can not return until they are in compliance.

If your student is not in compliance, you were given a copy of the Oregon Certificate of Immunization Status form at your conference. Please update, sign, and return it to the office as soon as possible.

Feb. 13th Update- All families are still welcome to sign up and read 2 or more of these 7 books. They can be read by students or the whole family. There are also 4 of them available on our school's Sora's audiobook account (FOR FREE!!!). Just sign up through Mrs. Wagner at wagnerc@colton.k12.or.us. These 7 books are targeted to the reading ability of 2nd and 3rd graders or transitional readers, but can be enjoyed by all! Click HERE for more info.

Our 4th and 5th grade students are now engineering football devices. They are building field goalposts and kicking devices. The goalposts must have the horizontal beam be 10 inches high and standing. Some very creative minds are in our school. Pictures coming soon!

Our 2nd and 3rd grade students have been learning how to create a Google Slideshow. They have created a fun "All About You" slideshow.

Our Kindergartners and 1st grade students have been learning some coding and programming skills. Even at this young age! They are programming in code.org. This week they have been using LOOPS to program Laurel to get treasure.

Friendly Reminder: All medication (over-the-counter and prescribed) needs to be transported to school by a parent, and medication authorization forms must be filled out before office staff can administer medication. The medication both prescribed and over the counter should be in the original packaging, and can only be given as directed by the prescribing physician or medication label.
