Hello Madison Heights! Here is your weekly email update on our upcoming PTO events.
The PTO has received feedback that it’s been difficult for some families to keep up with all of the current PTO events, especially during this Holiday Season. The PTO would like to stress that ALL EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES ARE OPTIONAL, and that no one is obligated to participate/donate/contribute to any events. If you don’t have the bandwidth or a particular activity doesn’t serve your well being, please feel free to opt out :)
DINE OUT AT SCOOPWELL'S DOUGH BAR — DEC 12TH
Our fundraiser at Scoopwell’s Dough Bar is this week! On Thursday, December 12th, between 12 and 10 pm, mention "Madison Heights PTO” at checkout and Madison Heights will receive 50% of your purchase! if we raise $500 of total sales we get to keep 100% of all sales!
KIDS BOOK SWAP — collecting books through Friday, December 13th, distributing books from Dec 16th to 20th
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far to the Book Swap! We have received over 200 books in donations, and expect more from large donators such as Baby Bloomers, Friends of the Public Library, and Half Price Books! We have heard that some of the classrooms are also doing book swaps, and we plan on sharing with these teachers :)
We are still accepting donations through this Friday, so if you would like to make a contribution, please bring an unwrapped, gently used or new book to school with a message written inside the cover. The Students will select a book to enjoy over the Holiday Break.

Dec 2nd to 6th: Have your student bring their gifted book to their homeroom teacher
Dec 18th to 19th: Books will be distributed to students (details for distribution will be provided at a later date)
HEIGHTS SOCKING STUFFERS — DEC 17TH
The
PTO created some fun Madison Heights socks that would make a fantastic gift to a loved one for the holidays! We only have 250 pairs, available for $12/pair. Complete
THIS FORM if you would like to order some socks. We will distribute the socks out at the December
PTO Holiday Traditions meeting (see below for details!), and collect payment then.
DECEMBER PTO MEETING — DEC 17THJoin us for our December
PTO Meeting, on December 17th, 6 to 7 PM.
We will be assembling care packages with a local nonprofit to support those in need. Let’s celebrate and give back together!
We’d also like to use this opportunity to learn about different holiday traditions within our Heights community! If your family has a holiday tradition you would like to share, such as a favorite dish, activity, or special tradition, then we’d love to see it!
Please RSVP with the number of people attending on the 17th so we ensure we have enough pizza for everyone. If you’d also like to share a holiday tradition, please include a description in the designated box, so we can set up a table/space for you to showcase your tradition.
DRESS DOWN DAY — DEC 19TH
Our next Dress Down Day is Thursday, December 19th. Students are invited to wear their festive Holiday flair or casual clothes instead of school uniforms.
For this fundraiser, suggested $1 donations to the PTO can be made in cash (your kid can bring to school), Venmo, or Zelle. AS ALWAYS, donations are appreciated BUT NOT MANDATORY! Funds raised will be use to support Heights families in need this Holiday season.
