More Google Shortcuts
Last week I shared a shortcut to be able to quickly see the activity for any Google file (select the file + I). It was so well received that I thought I'd share a few more this week.
- V (no Ctrl needed): Switch between Folder and List view in your Drive
- R (no Ctrl needed): Open the Sort folder menu
- T (no Ctrl needed): Open Settings
- X (no Ctrl needed): Select or deselect a file
- select file + N: Quickly rename an item
- select file + P: Open a preview of a file (really helpful when you remember what a slide template looks like, but not what you called it!)
- select file + . (yep, that's just a period): Share a file
- select file + Z: Move a file to different folder
Free Google & Microsoft Training
If you're looking for some ways to brush up on your Google and/or Microsoft skills but don't have funds to spend, check out these FREE interactive tutorials from CustomGuide. Each product also includes a free cheat sheet!
Here's a sneak peek at their Chrome Extensions tutorial and the OneDrive Basics tutorial.
Womp Womp...
It's that time of year...we've hit the 9-week mark, Fall Break is in the rearview mirror, and Thanksgiving Break feels like it is at least ten years away. I'm starting to feel burnt out and I see it all around me. I'm having a hard time getting out of bed, I'm not taking care of myself the way I know I should, and I know that I'm not alone. If you're feeling the same way, the list below may have something to help, even if just knowing that others feel the same way.
- Core Beliefs and Affirmations from Meredith White: Favorite it and just read through when you need a pick-me-up. Or print your favorites to hang around your desk.
- Balance: A meditation app that adapts to you and is free for the first year (limited time)
- Headspace: Another meditation app, offers free access for all K12 teachers, admin, and staff
- Barely Hanging On: A blog post from Cult of Pedagogy that perfectly encapsulates how I am feeling
- Happy Hits: A playlist from Spotify to make you smile
- Reminders for Hard Days: An image shared by Angela Maiers that just might become my new desktop background

Cozy Pumpkin Patch Ambience - Autumn Farm: Nature Sounds for relaxation
