💲 Attending Community College? Apply for Oregon Promise! 💲
Oregon Promise is a state-run grant (free money) for students attending a community college in Oregon. Requirements are:
- Attend a Community College within 6 months or HS graduation
- Have a 2.0 GPA
- Be a resident of Oregon for 1 year
- Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Student Aid)
FAFSA - FINANCIAL AID PACKAGES
Colleges are receiving FAFSA information and students are starting to receive their financial aid packages.This means that corrections can be made to your FAFSA if needed.
Do you still need to complete the FAFSA for Federal Financial aid via Grants (free money) and/or loans? Come to the College and Career Center for assistance! We meet with students and families.

5/4 Local 14 2022 Art Scholarships $6,000
Submit original artwork by the applicant in one of the following media: painting, drawing, printmaking, ceramics, photography, jewelry, leather, basketry, woodworking, blown & fused glass, wearable art, book arts, or textiles, as well as other arts and crafts. Submitted work need not be all in the same medium.
5/5 Tigard Tualatin School District Superintendent's Scholarship $1,000
Awarded to one Tualatin High senior annually. Must be planning to pursue a degree in education. Apply through the Google form
5/5 The Tigard Tualatin Foundation Scholarship $1,000
One scholarship to a Tualatin High student. Any field of study.
5/5 Johnnie Kohler Scholarship
Agriculture, veterinary science or science-related major $2,500 One scholarship is awarded to a Tigard or Tualatin senior. The field of study must be agriculture, veterinary science or a science-related major.
5/5 Kim Birk Scholarship $1,000
Given to a Tualatin graduate who demonstrates the characteristics of someone who shows selfless compassion and a congenial spirit.
5/5 Bula Buck Arveson Scholarship Education $1,000
One scholarship is awarded to a Tigard or Tualatin senior who plans to study education.
5/5 Leonard A. Pohl Scholarship $1,000
One scholarship is awarded to a Tualatin High senior who plans to study at a community college or a trade school.
5/5 Al Hieb Scholarship $500
Given to a Tualatin High graduate who plans to study education or journalism.
5/6 Timberwolf Support Organization Scholarship $1,000
Multiple scholarships for Tualatin High seniors are given by TSO, the Tualatin High parent support group. Applicants should demonstrate a dedication to their education and the community.
5/8 Silvey Family Foundation Scholarship. $5,000
This scholarship is not focused on academics. It is for one student with financial need who writes a compelling essay about their plans and personal situation. There is one scholarship given to a Tigard Tualatin student. Preference is for a student studying a technical field.
5/9 Winona Grange Scholarship $2,500
This scholarship is only for Tualatin High Students
5/9 Tualatin Historical Society Scholarship $3,000
The application includes an essay on history and why it is important to your future. For Tualatin HS students attending school in Oregon.
5/10 Tigard American Legion Post #158, C. Ray Wilson Memorial Scholarship. $500
For a student whose parent, sibling, or grandparent who served in military. Involves a short essay and 2 letters of recommendation.
5/10 American Legion Auxiliary Tigard Unit #158 Scholarship $1,000
For a student whose parent, sibling, or grandparent who served in the military. Involves a short essay and 2 letters of recommendation.
5/10 Association of Tigard Tualatin Administrators Scholarship $500
One scholarship will be given to a Tualatin High senior who plans to study education.
5/10 Alberta Riders Principal Scholarship $1,000
Former Alberta Rider Elementary students demonstrating a commitment to ARE's "Be Safe, Be Kind, and Be Responsible". Applications can be found on Naviance or the College the Career Center.
5/13 Tualatin Rotary Scholarship (formerly Corporal Matthew Lembke Scholarship) $1,000
Multiple scholarships for Tualatin High seniors who display honor, courage, commitment and service to others.
5/13 Tualatin Rotary Scholarship $5,000
For students who will study at an Oregon community college. This scholarship will cover costs for tools or extra training like pilot's license. It will not cover the cost of tuition, housing and books

FREE DENTAL PROFESSIONS SUMMER CAMP AT CCC -APPS DUE 5/31
We have finalized the schedule and flyer for the upcoming FREE Dental Professions Summer CAMP for high school students. Deadline to apply: May 31st
This Camp through the Health Sciences Department will take place at Clackamas Community College’s Harmony East Campus and FREE lunch will be provided. There will be two cohorts, each meeting for 5 hours from Monday, June 17th to Tuesday, June 25th (no camp on June 19th). Apply via this link. Flyers are attached for more information.
University of Oregon Summer SAIL Program

This FREE week-long pre-college program, held on the UO campus, gives students the chance to experience college life & get hands-on with exciting activities taught by UO's top-notch Faculty. For current 8th – 11th grade students. Day-Only and Day + Overnight programs are available!

Day Programs: July 22-26 or July 29-Aug 2
2024 Youth Conservation Program Crew Opportunities! Ages 15-18
Are you interested the environment or working in your community on environmental projects? Come enjoy a unique experience and create memories and friendships that last a lifetime!
2024 Summer Crew Opportunities:
Residential:
Participants in this program spend three weeks in either the San Bernardino or the Superior National Forests living and working along side Crew Leaders and the U.S Forest Service. Students will work on trail maintenance, invasive species removal, fire dependent ecology/maintenance and more!

Virtual:
Participants in this program are immersed in the world of Green STEM careers and Environmental Science. They will be virtually connected to about 30 of their peers from around the country, as they learn about climate resilience, history of public lands, and more. This program also puts an emphasis on cultivating leadership and logistics management.

Cohort 1: June 24 -July 12, 2024
Cohort 2: July 15-August 2, 2024
Program Benefits:
In person program crew members will be eligible for a weekly stipend of $350 with airfare, meals and housing included. Virtual program crew members will be eligible for a weekly stipend of $250 for their participation.
Eligibility:
Must be 15 by June 2024 and no older than 18 by August 2024
Must be enrolled in HS or 2024 Graduate
Must be U.S Citizen or permanent resident

Safety Town Volunteers Needed - Be a Summer Counselor
Safety Town Tualatin is a 1 week, half-day camp for rising kindergarteners and first graders that teaches basic safety lessons. Safety Town uses guest presentations, songs, dance, crafts, and hands-on experiences to teach students basic safe practices with fire, pedestrian, bikes, traffic, buses, water, poison, and emergency preparedness. Safety Town will be overseen and administered by Tualatin Together and will employ middle and high school students from our community to serve as counselors and junior counselors. A flyer is attached.

Internship/job at Positive Behavior Supports Corporation (Team PBS!)
This is a home and community provider of Applied Behavior Analysis services and are hiring for entry level behavior technician roles which may be of interest to students who are close to graduation and 18 years old! The behavior technician role is ideal for students who are interested in social science fields (such as psychology, behavior analysis, special education, social science, etc). Specific training is provided to get started in the ABA field and schedules can be flexible. Opportunities are also available to obtain certification as a Registered Behavior Technician with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board, which is a national certification that aids in both resume and professional development. Starting pay for this position is $25/hr.

St Vincent's Hospital
St. Vincent's Hospital is searching for student volunteers at 3 locations (2 in Portland, Oregon City and Milwaukie) Students can work in the medical centers as greeters/wayfinders, gift shop attendants, checking in patients, supporting nurses stations, administrative work, and serving patients in rooms for students if over age 18.
There is a 4-hour commitment for 6 months or 100 hours per year (whichever comes first).
Students must be at least 16 years of age.
