Civic Engagement Diploma Seal
SKG provides all students with the opportunity to apply for the Civic Engagement Diploma Seal. There are four criteria a student must meet to be awarded the CEDS. 1. Students should pass all of their Social Studies classes. 2.They should complete 50 hours, with 15 being civically engaged, of community service. Hours begin the summer before their freshman year. 3. Students will take the American Government Basic Skills Test. If you took the Civic Engagement Course freshman year, this component has likely been met. 4. Finally, students will create a product (presentation, essay, video, dance, podcast, etc.) where they discuss their experience and it's impact on them. Please see Mrs. Runkel in T442 and our Google Classroom (Code 7pj2ue3) for more information!
