A Message from the Principal

During the year, counselors will assist students in meeting academic, personal/social, and college and career needs. We would like your feedback in determining priorities and services needed to assist our students in becoming successful while in Celina ISD and preparing for post-secondary aspirations.

You will find information on the roles and responsibilities of the school counselor and some of the services available. Please take time to answer the questions. Your feedback is important; your input helps shape our counseling program. Thank you for your support and partnership.

International Dot Day

Next Friday (9/13) is International Dot Day, which is all about being brave enough to make your mark! On Friday, September 13, wear dots...a few or a bunch...to show the community that you are brave enough to make a difference. How will YOU make your mark on the community this week? This is a great discussion topic for family dinner time this week!

Curriculum Night and 5th Grade Camp Meeting

This year, we're doing Curriculum Night a little differently in hopes of helping families that have very busy schedules. On Friday, September 13, 2024, you will receive a video that reviews your child's grade level information (video will also be linked in the Martin Memo). We ask that you review it over the weekend and submit any questions you have via the form provided with the video. On Monday, September 16, we invite you to come to Martin for a quick PTA meeting followed by a Q&A session with the grade level teachers.

PTA Meeting: 5:30

Q&A session 1: 5:45

Q&A session 2: 6:00

5th Grade Camp Meeting: 6pm

Cell Phones and Other Electronic Devices

In accordance with the Student Handbook, all personal electronic devices must be turned off during the instructional day. This includes cell phones and smart watches. The policy can be found in the Student Handbook starting on page 54.

PTA

100% of our staff have already joined PTA. Can we get 100% parent participation as well. Joining PTA DOES NOT require a time commitment. You can do as little as join or as much volunteering as you'd like. PLEASE join today!

Martin Elementary is a Box Tops school! That means that families in our community earn cash to give back to our school when they purchase Box Tops products. Simply download the Box Tops app on your phone, sign up to support MARTIN ELEMENTARY and start earning for our school today!

Lunch Visitors

Tuesday, September 10, is our first day for lunch visitors. A few things to remember:

Check-in at the front office and obtain a visitor sticker. Wear the sticker during. your visit.
Please sit at the designated visitor tables with your child. The courtyard tables can also be used.
Students are not allowed to invite friends to sit at the visitor table.
Parents may bring lunch for their child only. The sharing of food with other students is prohibited.
Taking pictures or video of other students is prohibited.
When students begin to clean up, it's time for your student to return to their table and for parents to be on their way. Please return directly to the office to turn in your badge before leaving. Parents should not walk their child back to class.
