Character Trait of the Month (March): INDIVIDUALITY
COUNSELOR'S CORNER
CHARACTER TRAIT OF THE MONTH
The month of March brings us to the character trait of INDIVIDUALITY. Individuality means discovering who you are meant to be, so you can make a difference. Children need to know it's important to just be themselves. We are all unique and have special talents. It's ok to not follow the crowd.
"To be yourself in a world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment." Ralph Waldo Emerson

Please note, that all medications must have a signed order by their Doctor's office or they cannot be given at school.
ART CORNER
Art News
Thank you for saving paper towel rolls! We are now restocked! We are starting to save a couple different items. Please send in some newspaper and Styrofoam trays without glue streaks. We are looking for a few more X-large mens shirts for paint shirts to replace a few we have retired!
Recycle Rally
Green Holly started this Recycling Initiative back in the fall of 2016. Since that time, we have recycled 4,394 pounds of aluminum cans and plastic bottles of all shapes and sizes. This year we have already collected 153 pounds! I have set a goal for our school of 500 pounds. Can you help us save these items and send them in with your child? Please label them with your child’s name and teacher’s name and they will get credit for helping us RECYCLE! If we save enough pounds of aluminum cans and plastic bottles of all kinds, we can earn rewards for our school and we will earn prizes for the class that brings in the most pounds at the end of the year!
We are also in a Recycle program that collects aluminum can pop tops for Ronald McDonald House. These go for therapies for students in need from our county! Please send in these pop tops in a clean plastic Ziploc baggie and we will weigh them and send them up to our contact in Leonardtown.
We can do a whole lot if we team together! Everyone doing a little can create a BIG Impact!
Thank you for any help you can give!
Most Sincerely,
Ms. Anderson
