Spring 2025
Event Spotlight & Recap
Winter Roadshow
In January and February, the TCSS visited all 20 ESCs across the state to deliver training on the Student Support Framework Diagnostic.
TCSS Advisory Group
The TCSS Advisory Group met in January to discuss key updates, including a deeper focus on the Student Support Framework. Team members collaborated on ideas for SSF best practices and provided feedback on initiatives like bullying prevention and the Parent Family Engagement Playbook. The Student Task Force attended a portion of the meeting virtually and worked with the advisory group members to analyze the Stronger Connections Grant climate survey results.

TEA Updates:
Some important reminders for SCG leads – please make sure you are tracking student support referrals using the optional tracking tool or other in-house/vendor systems. These data sets will play a large role in the rollout of SST training and as schools act on the TASBO webinar #1 considerations.
ESCs, please continue to use the FOI dashboard during your debrief check-ins to collaborate with LEAs on various performance measures and goal-setting.

Lever 2: Student and Staff Safety
If I had 10 Minutes
- Sometimes, we feel like self-care or community care have to include elaborate plans that take a lot of time, but both can also happen in small chunks. As small as taking a deep breath or walking around the block.
- Imagine they were gifted 10 extra minutes today. They can do anything in that time they would like to do, but it can’t be about productivity, to-do lists, or meeting someone else’s demands or expectations. What would they do? Walk, read, listen to music, go outside, stretch, call a friend, work on a puzzle?
- Write about your bonus 10 minutes and what you might like to do. Schedule it into your calendar this week.
