To our Students: Thank you for your curiosity, enthusiasm, and dedication. Your hard work in the classroom and your participation in extracurricular activities have truly made this a memorable year. We are incredibly proud of your accomplishments, both big and small.
To our Families: Your unwavering support is the foundation of our school community. Your partnership in your child's education, your willingness to volunteer, and your positive spirit are invaluable. We appreciate your trust in us as we work together to nurture the potential of each student.
We wish you all a safe, relaxing, and enjoyable summer break. We look forward to welcoming you back for another exciting year of learning and growth in August!

8th Grade Field Trip - Camp Michindoh
The Great Tiger Take Down
The 8th grade field trip to Camp Michindoh was a huge success. We would like to thank the parents and staff that helped chaperone, plan, and supervise at camp. It was fun for the adults as well. The students enjoyed beautiful weather, friendly competition, and created memories that will last a lifetime. A special shout out to Sarah Britton, Breanna Laskowski, Sabrina Brown, and Anar Guru for organizing and executing a wonderful experience for our 8th graders.
SUMMER SCHOOL - Qualifying 6th - 8th grade students & parents will be notified by Monday, 6/10 via email about what class(es) your student needs to complete.
2024-2025 CLASS SCHEDULES - Schedules will not be available until schedule pickup the week of August 12th. Exact dates for the schedule pickup for each grade level to be determined. Schedules will not be posted to Student Vue until after schedule pickup dates. Please hold any schedule requests until your student has received their class schedule in August.
FINAL REPORT CARDS - Your student's report card will be posted to Student & Parent Vue Monday, 6/10.

Eighth grade ELA students have been working on a creative project related to a unit called Human Intelligence. This project asks students to demonstrate their intelligences through the creation of an artifact. Below are some of the amazing artifacts students have created!

Lennox N. has been tracking his running workouts for over 60 days now! We got to see his progress!

Jacob K. built this fantastic stool using a piece of wood from a tree in his backyard!
Maggie C created a mic'd up video where the audience was able to listen to members of her softball team while they were playing!
Brandon P taught us some sweet baseball batting techniques!
Presley A. showed us how to do some amazing stunting moves!
Dominic M. taught us how to meet cats in a peaceful way!
Clare H created a fun video where she interviewed members of her gymnastics team!
Steven brought us into the world of Python coding!
Ayva D. crocheted a Starry Night book bag and gifted it to Mrs. Birchmeier!

AGS Office Addition
As we approach the end of June you will start to see construction on the new office addition and sidewalk along Shiawassee. During this time, the entrance off of Shiawassee will be closed. There will be more details in the FAPS newsletter and on the FAPS website as we near the start of this project. We are excited about improving the facility for our staff, students, and families.
Michigan Jags Soccer Try Outs

Ages 10 -13
Attention MS Boys and Girls (ages 10 - 13) interested in playing Junior Golf this summer!
The cost is $299 for the season. Participants will receive two polos, a hat, a bag tag, and a backpack for signing up. Register by searching for Coyote Preserve Golf Club on pgajrleague.com

*League Championship Monday before the Ally Challenge at Warwick Hills time tbd.
There will be at least 6 practices in between the matches. Currently they are looking for participants ages 10-13. There are four spots remaining, but if there is enough interest, a second team of 12 would be created! Please contact Tobias Edgett, Assistant Golf Pro @ Coyote Preserve, with any questions.

Summer EBT Information
To receive the Summer EBT benefit, every family must have an approved student eligibility benefit (free or reduced) through their school. Households may need to complete and submit the School Meals and Summer EBT Application. Families will need to turn in this form ahead of count day to receive benefits over the summer. Count day is February 14, 2024.

Eligibility Overview
Summer EBT benefits are available for eligible households based on their student eligibility status (free or reduced). This can be from direct certification, categorical eligibility, or from the School Meals and Summer EBT Application.
What is Summer EBT?
As part of our collaborative efforts to enhance USDA's summer nutrition programs, the Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer Program for Children (Summer EBT) will officially launch in summer 2024. Summer EBT provides grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children when schools are closed for the summer. More than 29 million children across America could benefit from Summer EBT.
