RULH Elementary Hosts Annual Art Night
RULH Elementary held its annual "Art Night" on Thursday, April 10th. Everyone was invited to participate in art stations to create art with their families and enjoy viewing the artwork on display. The award ceremony was held at 7 p.m. Congratulations to the elementary Blue Jays for their hard work and dedication to the arts! The winners are pictured and listed below......BLUE JAY PRIDE!
Seussical Jr., Presented by the RULH Music Department, Is a Hit!
Congratulations to the stars, the director (Mrs. Jessica Kahrs), stage crew and supporting members of the fantastic show "Seussical Jr."! The students did an outstanding job and the attendees enjoyed the spectacular show! Way to go Blue Jays!
Thanks to all the families and community members who volunteered and attended the event, as well!
FCCLA Recognized as Top 10 FACT Chapter for Youth Traffic Safety
The RULH High School FCCLA Chapter, under the direction of Mrs. Tammy Whaley, has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Ohio FACTS chapters for their exceptional project on Youth Traffic Safety.
The Ohio Department of Public Safety stated that "We are truly impressed by the impact your project made in your community and appreciate your dedication to FCCLA. In honor of your outstanding efforts, your chapter will receive up to $1,000 in travel reimbursements for each chapter to showcase their project on a poster to be displayed at the upcoming 2025 State Leadership Conference. These travel receipts can include: food, lodging, conference registration, and travel costs to the conference. This is an excellent opportunity to share your inspiring work and creative strategies with fellow FCCLA members from across the state."
The top chapter will be awarded travel reimbursements to attend the National Leadership Conference in 2025. The winning chapter will be announced during the State Leadership Conference.
The Ohio Department of Public Safety also wrote, "Thank you once again for your hard work and commitment to making Ohio roads safer for everyone. We look forward to seeing your project showcased at the conference and celebrating your remarkable achievement together."
This year's FCCLA FACTS project was a video on the impact of distracted driving. Special thanks to the Ripley Life Squad, Brown County, Ohio Sheriff's Office, and Mrs. Patty Ream and her technology students for helping produce the video. Please click the link below to watch the video.
RULH Preschool Students Taste Test Peeps!
Mrs. Maddox's preschool class recently held "Peep Day". Students taste tested different peep flavors to determine their favorites, performed science experiments (sink/float) and also designed their very own peep flavor! The students ended the day by painting with peeps! Way to go Lil' Jays!
RULH Jr./Sr. High School "Fired Up" for State Testing!
RULH Jr./Sr. High teachers are getting students "fired up" for state testing! Teachers have been creatively reviewing content they have taught this year with students to help them feel confident and prepared!
Students began testing in some subjects this week and will not conclude with state testing until May 9th. Good luck to all Blue Jays! Blue Jay Pride!
"Early Bird" Winners Announced for the Library "Poem in Your Pocket" Contest
The RULH Jr./Sr. High School Library announced the "Early Bird" Special Winners for the "Poem in Your Pocket" promotion. These students were the first to share their Pocket Poems with the librarians. Mrs. Armstrong and Mrs. Asbury have worked creatively to encourage the love of reading this year! This was one of their special projects to reward students for their efforts!
