CES Happenings

Dear CES Family,

With opening of Starbucks at Holiday Market, we are seeing a lot more students coming to school with various kinds of beverages in the morning. Two things here: 1) If students bring these to school, they need to go directly to the cafeteria. There have been spills in the hallway and we would like to avoid these. All food and drink needs to stay in the cafeteria. 2) It is our strong preference that students not drink these before school. The sugar content is off the charts and negatively impacts their start to the day. Thanks for the consideration here. Good nutrition wins the day!

I want to thank all of you for the tremendous efforts that you are making to get your students to school. Not just to school, but also on time, every day. I can't tell you how much of a difference this makes in the academic success of our students. We have a great teaching team and the more time they spend with their students, the more they learn. That and, selfishly, we really enjoy having our students on campus as much as we can.

A reminder that we have a four-day weekend coming up. There is no school on Friday, 2/14, or Monday, 2/17. I hope that you all can enjoy some family time together.
