Progress Reports
Will be available on Tuesday, 3/12/24. Go to Infinite Campus Parent Portal --> menu --> grades. If you have trouble accessing grades it is possible there is a DPS Infinite Campus issue. If so, check back 24 hours later. If you have any questions or concerns regarding grades, reach out to your child's teachers.
DPS Response to COVID Health Guidelines Changes
CDC recently released updated recommendations for how people can protect themselves and their communities from respiratory viruses, including COVID-19. At this time, DPS has not changed recommendations for school. Nursing Services is working with DDPHE to get updated guidance and we will provide updates as it becomes available. Click on our school website's sick policy page for current protocols. Questions? Contact our School Nurse at shaunta_aguilar@dpsk12.net.
Late Pick-up Procedure
A friendly reminder that the school day ends at 2:40pm. While we understand things occasionally happen, keep in mind that consistent late pick up impacts our staff who have to stay after school to supervise children who have not been picked up. Per our Inspire Family Handbook: Families will be charged $10 per 15 minutes after 2:50pm. This will compensate the staff member who must stay beyond work hours to supervise children who have not been picked up on time.

PTO Staff Appreciation Potluck, 3/15/24
The next staff appreciation potluck is scheduled for 3/15/24. We coordinate the monthly potlucks by grade level so we are encouraging Kinder families to sign up for the month of March. Support is always welcome so anyone can of course sign up using this link!
Hearing and Vision Screening, 3/14/24-3/15/24
Denver Public Schools provides free vision, hearing for all students in identified grades: ECE, Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th.
- The screenings are not an assessment or an evaluation and do not replace professional exams. Mass screening is considered best practice to identify students who may be at risk for health concerns affecting the student’s ability to learn, and who may need extra support to reach academic benchmarks. Resources are available for DPS enrolled students.
- Parents/guardians of students who did not have optimal hearing, vision or dental screening results will be notified in writing regarding the results.
- You must notify Shaunta' Aguilar, School Nurse at shaunta_aguilar@dpsk12.net in writing should you wish to opt out of any of the free screenings for your student.
Service Opportunity
DPS Volunteer Services is looking for volunteers, specifically those who are bilingual, to support welcoming new arrivals to our schools with immediate needs. Volunteer opportunities available include tutoring, mentoring, and support, as well as lunch and recess opportunities. Volunteers are needed now! Interested individuals can start the volunteer application process through this form. If you have any questions, email sarah_rice@dpsk12.net with Volunteer Services.
Community Resource
Social Media Safety for Families Workshop
The DPS Family and Community Engagement Team (FACE) is offering a Social Media Safety for Families Workshop on March 12 from 5-6 p.m. This session will provide resources and tips for families on the dangers of social media and how to help students stay safe and smart online. Families will gain valuable information and collaborate with other families on technology safety solutions. We will launch an interactive training module for DPS families as well to use after this session and receive certification they have completed the training. Families can learn more and RSVP here.
