Summertime Well-Wishes
The countdown is on to the end of the 24-25 school year! Next week, we look forward to a fun-filled field day and then we will celebrate the last day of school on Tuesday, June 3rd. Please note that this will be a full day of school.
It's been a really excellent year at Clow School. The staff and I are incredibly appreciative of the ways in which you have supported your students and partnered with us throughout the school year. We are honored to have been a part of your child's academic journey this school year.
We look forward to celebrating the Clow Cougar Class of 2025 during our Clap-Out next Tuesday afternoon. We want to wish our 5th graders well as they move on to middle school! We also extend well-wishes to other families who may be moving away from our attendance area. You'll always be welcomed back at Clow!
As a reminder, we highly encourage you to complete school registration as soon as you are able. At this time, just over half of our student population is registered for the 25-26 school year. Our planning is dependent on accurate enrollment for the next school year. Details about registration are included, below. Please make time to complete registration before the busy summer begins!
Mrs. Berck and I will be available during the summer to answer any questions that you might have. For your planning purposes, please make note that our office hours during the summer months are Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am - 4:00 pm. Due to the extensive construction that will take place at Clow, there will be many instances where our work will be off-site. Please plan to call our main line, 630-428-6060, for any question that you might have. Should you need to visit the school, we ask that you also call the main line so that we may coordinate a time.
I wish you and your family a safe, happy, and healthy summer!
With gratitude -
Katie Bennett
Field Day Reminders
We are looking forward to a fun-filled Field Day on Monday, June 2nd, rain or shine! We invite and encourage students to wear their PTA-provided "Field Day T-Shirt" on Monday!
The forecast is calling for summer-like sunshine and temperatures on Monday, so we ask that you please plan accordingly for your student(s)! While we will have opportunities for students to take a break at one of the stations, we want to make sure students stay well hydrated on this day. Please send your student with a water bottle that they can take to each station. Consider also having your student wear a hat to block the sun and help keep cool. You are welcome to sunscreen your student before sending them to school that day, too!
2025-2026 Registration
Parents and guardians will use their ParentVUE account or the online registration portal to complete registration.
If you have technical questions about how to complete your family's online registration, we invite you to reach out to our Student Information System support team by email at sis@ipsd.org. Please include your name, phone number, student name, student ID number, school, grade level, and a brief description of the problem you are experiencing.

Embedded in these slides are the other reading incentives around town, including the Naperville Public Library's summer reading program.
A representative from the 95th Street branch came last week to share details with your student about their offerings!
End of Year Chromebook Information
Current 2nd-4th grade students will be bringing their district-issued Chromebooks home for the summer. Please refer to the attached graphic for care guidelines. We highly recommend that devices do not go on vacation with students.

Wednesday school hours are 9:15 am – 3:35 pm. This late start allows time for staff to engage in professional development opportunities. All arrival procedures, student supervision, and bus service will be delayed by 10 minutes every Wednesday of the school year.
Reporting Student Absences & Late Arrival Procedures
When students arrive to school on time, they are able to follow their classroom routine and get the day off to a great start. We do understand that situations may arise that can impact a child arriving to school on time. If you know your child will be arriving to school late on any given day, due to an appointment or other obligation, we encourage you to make the classroom teacher aware of the expected late arrival as well as ask that you contact our school office. Students arriving late to school should come to the front, main entrance doors. A parent/guardian must come in with the student to sign him/her into the office and share the reason for late arrival. Students should not be dropped off without an adult. Thank you for your assistance in getting your child(ren) to school on time each day!
