I hope that all of our families had a relaxing and rejuvenating winter break surrounded by friends and family. We have a busy first week of 2024, so please read on for details.
Monday, January 8, 2024 is a late start day with students reporting to first period at 9:21 am. Let's start 2024 with good attendance habits.
Tuesday, January 9, 2024, a hybrid meeting of the English Language Advisory Council will take place via Google Meets and in person in the PHS Library. Please email Mrs. Beck at beck.janelle@pusd.us if you would like a link to join the meeting.

Finally, Monday, January 15, 2024, PUSD schools and offices will be closed in honor of the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. I hope that you all enjoy the three day weekend and consider making your holiday a Day of Service.

Currently-enrolled PUSD high school students in the 11th grade can join PUSD’s first Student Assembly to represent fellow students on PUSD’s Board of Education (BOE)! Each school will elect members from each grade, and YOU are invited to run for office at your grade level!
Juniors who are voted in to join the Assembly will serve on the Student Council and offer input through preferential votes at PUSD’s monthly Board of Education (BOE) meetings. Student Council members from all PUSD high schools will rotate attendance at BOE meetings; however, all PUSD BOE agenda items (except material for closed sessions) will be discussed and voted on at Student Assembly meetings at all six high schools.
The deadline to apply for PUSD Student Assembly has been extended to January 11, 2024 and I'm looking forward to seeing our Bulldogs make an impact at Board of Education Meetings.

Open Enrollment for Fall 2024 takes place in January! New-to-PUSD students and students changing schools or programs for the 2024-25 school year may apply online, January 9, 2024, 9AM - January 26, 2024, 4PM at pusd.schoolmint.com. Hazel Health has partnered with Pasadena Unified School District to provide access to quality health care services for all students, at no cost to families, this school year. A school health representative can initiate a video visit with a Hazel health care provider while your child is at-school to provide either physical or mental health services. Therapy sessions with Hazel Health are a safe space and are private and confidential.

Did you know that PHS Bulldogs have access to free afterschool tutoring in the library, Mondays through Thursdays from 3:45 pm until 5:30 pm? Students in need of help from credentialed PHS teachers do not need to apply or register, they simply need to be present.
In addition to our Library tutoring, PHS offers free, online 24/7 tutoring through Paper.co. All PUSD high school students have a free account and parents can learn more about Paper.co by following the link below.
