ADVISING
Important Deadlines
Regular Academic Session Courses (8/24 - 12/9):
- December 9th: Last day of class - no registration changes can be made after the last day of class.
- December 10th: Reading day, no classes.
- December 11th: Final exams begin.
- December 17th: Final exams end.
Seven Week Second Session Courses (10/15 - 12/9):
- December 9th: Last day of class - no registration changes can be made after the last day of class.
- December 10th: Reading day, no classes.
- December 11th: Final exams begin.
- December 17th: Final exams end.
Winter Session Courses (12/21/20 - 01/12/21):
- December 20th: Last day for students to add to or drop from a waitlist.
- December 21st: First day of Winter Classes. Last day to use UAccess for adding classes, changing classes, or changing sections. First day to file for the Grade Replacement Opportunity (GRO).
- December 22nd: Instructor approval required on a Change of Schedule form to ADD or CHANGE classes. Last day to drop without a grade of W. Last day to file for Grade Replacement Opportunity (GRO). Last day for a refund.
- December 23rd: W period begins.
- December 24th & December 25th: Holiday closure; no classes.
- December 26th: Last day to change from pass/fail to regular grading or vice versa with only instructor approval on a Change of Schedule form.
- December 27th: Instructor's and dean's signatures are required on a Change of Schedule form to change from pass/fail to regular grades or vice versa.
Spring 2021 Registration
Refer to the Dates & Deadlines to find when the last day to register for Spring courses is. This will be based on the session in which the course takes place in.

A note from Campus Pantry

Participant Opportunity
Researchers at the UA Cognitive Neuroscience of Language lab are looking for volunteers in a functional MRI study that investigates how we learn scientific concepts. The study includes two short lessons delivered over Zoom, in which the instructor will explain to you the meaning of concepts from different areas of biology, two online surveys, and a functional MRI scan conducted at the Translational Bioimaging Resource of the University of Arizona. Participants that have completed the study will receive $50.
We are looking for healthy adult subjects that:
- are not biology experts (i.e., are not majoring in biology)
- are native English speakers
- are 18-35 years old
- have no history of language, neurological or psychiatric disorders, or claustrophobia
- do not use psychoactive medications (antidepressants, ADHD medications, etc.)
- are MRI-compatible (no metal in the body, no chronic back/neck pain, not pregnant or trying to conceive)
