Connect41
Connect 41 is the community print newsletter sent to over 12,000 households in the District 41 boundary area. Almost 80 percent of the households in our boundaries do not have children currently attending D41 schools. This newsletter is one way we keep the community informed about the schools in their community.

Forest Glen One Earth Celebration
Committed to spreading the word about the importance of trees, the students of Forest Glen's environmental club, One Earth, celebrated the planting of two new trees on Forest Glen property by leading with song, poetry and reminders of how we all can plant, protect and invest in our planet's trees. In attendance were invited guests from SCARCE, GoGreen Glen Ellyn and one of our very own D41 board members.
D41 INSPRA Award Winner
Congratulations to District 41 Multilingual Family Liaison Eleanor Kearley on receiving a Distinguished Service Award today from the Illinois School Public Relations Association (INSPRA).
Friend of Hadley Band Award
The Hadley Jr. High Jazz Bands took the stage for their Spring Jazz Band Concert on Thursday, May 2nd. They were also incredibly happy to honor Mr. Tim Lofgren with the Friend of Hadley Band Award. The students shared: "The Hadley Band program would like to honor the Retirement of a long-time District 41 educator, Mr. Tim Lofgren. Mr. Lofgren is a Glen Ellyn institution, dedicating 48 years of his life to public education, with 30 of those years in District 41. He served as an assistant principal, a social studies teacher, and most recently, as one of our Hadley PE teachers. We would like to express our gratitude to Mr. Lofgren for his unwavering support to the Hadley Band program. Mr. Lofgren’s impact on our Hadley community, Band Program, and all of us has been immeasurable. The Friend of Hadley Band award is given to individuals who have shown support, dedication and invaluable contributions to the enrichment of young minds and the cultivation of a vibrant musical and band community.”
The 7th and 8th Grade Jazz Bands combined to take the stage and pay tribute to Mr. Lofgren by playing 25 or 6 to 4 by his favorite band, Chicago. Mr. Lofgren, the entire Glen Ellyn Community is grateful for your dedication to students and the field of education. Your legacy will live on for years to come.
