We all need a Laugh!
One of the best ways to cure the February Blues for me is laughter. I truly believe that laughter makes you feel better. Take some time to tell a joke, ask a kinder student an interesting question, such as how is cheese made, ( I promise you will laugh/smile) or watch your favorite sitcom. You are sure to fill a lot better. If you don't have time for either of those things then take a couple of minuted to watch the following videos. Make sure you laugh out loud....IT IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL!

Pat on the Back
*I would like to affirm Ms. Mullin for all of the hard work that she has done during our flex grouping with Henry, one of my students. This is his first year in an ESL classroom (rather than bilingual). At the beginning of the year, Henry was just learning the English alphabet and was reading on a level A(beginning of Kindergarten). Now, Henry knows his beginning and ending sounds and is now working on short vowel sounds. He is also reading at a level G now (middle of 1st grade)! With every new book, Henry's confidence just continues to increase. He is now way more comfortable writing in English as well. It is so great to see. Way to go Lorin!! I am very thankful for all of your reading expertise. :)-Allison Drake

What's UP My Peeps
*I don't really have anything out of the ordinary about myself these days but you might find it either funny or interesting that I LOVE rap music!! I know it doesn't contribute much to society but I just can't help myself. As the singer Megan Trainor sings, "I am all about that Base".
P.S. Don't tell my Mom but I even listen to Rap with bad words. OH my!! Ha ha. Piece out.
