Grade 6 Promotion Ceremony
Congratulations to all sixth grade students who will be participating in the Promotion Ceremony on Wednesday, June 12th at 10:30 a.m. on Sweatt Field. In the event of rain, the Promotion Ceremony will be held in the Gibbons Gymnasium. If the Promotion Ceremony is moved indoors because of inclement weather, only two family members will be permitted to attend. After the festivities, there will be an ice cream truck and other refreshments for students to enjoy!
Additionally, we are excited to announce a new special event for our 6th-grade students as they prepare to graduate and move on to the next chapter of their educational journey. We will be hosting a 6th Grade Walk before the Grade 6 Promotion Ceremony as our soon-to-be graduates will have the opportunity to walk through the halls of the Roderick and Delaney School one last time. Students and staff from both buildings will be in the hallways cheering our 6th-grade students on before they walk out to the Promotion Ceremony.
Report Cards and 2024-2025 School Year Information
Term 2 report cards will be sent to families via the ASPEN Family Portal on Thursday, June 13th. Teacher assignments for the 2024-2025 school year will be sent out in mid-August, and the bus information will be posted on the school website. Grade-level supply lists have been posted early to give families plenty of time to purchase school materials.
Summer Learning
Our WPS scholars have learned many things this year and there are some additional resources your children will have access to while they are enjoying the summer with your family to maintain their learning momentum. Reading daily, even for just 15 minutes a day, along with practicing math skills during the summer months, can help to prevent regression to start the 2024-2025 school year with confidence. WPS families will receive more information via email from Dr. Beauchaine on June 3rd. Click the link to access the 2024 Summer Learning webpage.
Health Office Update
The beautiful weather has finally arrived! The Roderick Nurses’ Office has certainly been busy! Here are a few tips to keep in mind!
Water Bottles- Please remind your child to pack a refillable water bottle everyday. There are refill stations for students to use throughout the school.
Illness-If your child is sick, please email Mrs. Monti for any questions or concerns!
Hygiene- The beautiful weather means more running and playing outside! This is a great opportunity to encourage good hygiene practices. From washing hands and taking showers daily, help teach your children the importance of proper hygiene during the warmer months.
Camp Bournedale-Our 6th grade class will be participating in Camp Bournedale June 5-7. Medication drop off will be held on Monday June 3rd and Tuesday June 4th. Prescribed medications must be in original containers with pharmacy labels on them-label must show prescription number, date filled, physician name, medication name and directions for use. Non- prescription medications must be in the original container.
ALL MEDICATIONS, PRESCRIPTION OR NON-PRESCRIPTION, MUST HAVE A PHYSICIAN'S ORDER TO BE ADMINISTERED.
Medication in Office- If you child has an EpiPen or inhaler in the office, please notify Mrs. Monti if you would like to have it sent home for the summer.
If there are any questions, please feel free to call my office at 774-847-5316, or email me at montic@wrenthamschools.org Thank you! Mrs. Monti

During the assembly, students and staff were treated to an engaging presentation by Marcia and Mark Wilson, who brought their extensive knowledge and passion for these incredible birds of prey.
The assembly kicked off with an introduction to the various species of owls found in New England and around the world. The Wilsons shared intriguing facts about owl biology, behavior, and conservation efforts. They explained how owls hunt, their extraordinary night vision, and their role in maintaining the balance of our ecosystem.
