🚨 URGENT REMINDER - Credit Recovery Opportunities for Spring Semester 🚨
The deadline to register for the April 22 After-School Credit Recovery session is fast approaching! Don't miss out! The last day to register is Monday, April 15. Secure your spot now! Students must see their assigned counselor to register for credit recovery.
- The purpose of credit recovery is to provide high school students with an opportunity to recover credit for selected courses previously attempted and failed with a grade between a 50 – 69 %.
- The course is designed for students to complete with limited or NO assistance from a local school monitor or teacher.
- Students must attend in person after school from 2:40 pm - 5:40 pm on the designated days for the session.
- If they finish before the session ends, then they do not have to stay after school.
- Students may work on their course anytime. This means they can work on it at home, before school, during lunch, or anytime it is convenient.
- Again, they must report to the assigned room the week they have signed up for, until it is completed.

Educational Tips For Parents
Help your teen understand two key lessons
"Two of the most important lessons children can learn are that they matter and that they are counted on," wrote columnist William Raspberry. One effective way to teach your teen these lessons is to set limits. If you set and enforce a regular study time, for example, you make it clear that your teen's education is a priority for you. When you expect responsible behavior, you show that you believe your teen can do it and you can count on it. Click here for more Educational Tips.
Parents of 10th Graders
If your student is 16 years old, NOW is a great time to get the meningitis (MCV4) booster shot for 11th grade. Appointments are available at the health department, or your student may see their own doctor. Update your immunization form 3231 before the fall rush and turn in a copy to Ms. Medina in the Parent Center (Room 8.237). This is a state requirement for 11th grade. Read more about the requirement here.
