ParentGuidance.org is free to all staff, parents, and families in our district.
ParentGuidance.org is a service developed by licensed therapists that provides trusted and specialized courses, professional support, and a safe community to learn how to support our children and get answers to mental health questions.

Our hope is that ParentGuidance.org will give concerned parents a place to go for answers to support and help their children struggling with depression, anxiety, and family strife, as well as provide tools for forming stronger bonds between parents and their children.

Procedures for pick up and drop off. In the morning, the doors unlock at 7:05 am however, students can be dropped off before that time and wait under the awning. Students can enter the building and go to the cafeteria until 7:15 am. When dropping off your child(ren), please stay in a single-file line and to the right. Please prepare for a quick exit from the vehicle to keep the line moving. If your drop-off requires additional time, please pull into a parking spot to allow others to drop off in a timely manner.

When picking your child(ren) up after school, please pull into a parking spot and wait for your student(s). Parents do not need to come into the office to sign their student(s) out at the end of the day. Most parent-pick-up students will exit into the south parking lot (corner of VanHorn and Rives JCT), away from the main entrance.

Hello Mountie Nation,

The Northwest Athletic Department has introduced a new way to buy Athletic Passes and single game tickets. Now, instead of paper passes, we will have digital passes and digital single game tickets-your phone is your pass/ticket. Other schools are moving this way, and college and professional teams have been doing it for years. This year we will continue to offer a cash option at the gate. Also, All students, 8th grade and younger will need to be escorted by an adult for entry into HS events.

High School Events:

All tickets are $6

5 years old and younger are free. Senior Citizens 65 and older are free.

Middle School Events:

Adults $4 Students $3

5 years old and younger are free. Senior Citizens 65 and older are free

Here is a quick summary of what to do:

Buying an Adult or Student Only pass or Family Passes

Buying Mounties Adult or Student and family passes only takes three steps

1. Go to https://gofan.co/app/school/MI3393
2. Create a GoFan account if you don’t already have one. Make sure to download the GoFan app on your phone for future use
3. Buy the necessary pass you need. Please remember, that family passes are for 2 adults and school aged children in the same household. They are not good for your out of the house children (ie. college aged children). You will be asked to enter your first name, last name and emails of family members

Using your Mountie Pass

The process is just as easy.

1. Open the GoFan app
2. Click “Use Pass or Ticket” under your pass or your signle game ticket
3. Show your phone to the ticket taker so they can click “Use Pass” once more. DO NOT click the ticket yourself

You can use your Mountie pass as many times as you need throughout the season, though not more than once per day. This ensures people are not accidently using the same pass for different family members.

Transferring a Mountie Pass or Ticket

You can transfer a Mountie pass or single game ticket to another family member so they can use it directly on the phone. Just a few steps as well.

1. Open the GoFan app
2. Click on Transfer
3. Select the Mountie Pass to transfer
4. Enter your family members email address and hit submit. They must have an email address.

NOTE that this is a ONE time transfer.

The recipient will need a GoFan Account with the email you selected and have the app installed to enter games.

Special note for the recipient of a family pass-you will be asked to enter your first name, last name, email addresses then the names of the other people on your family pass. The recipient should enter their first name and can enter “N/A” for the other family members.

Effective beginning Wednesday, August 23, 2023, students will no longer be allowed to use their cell phones within the school premises during class hours, lunch breaks, and other school activities during the regular school day. We understand that cell phones have become an integral part of modern life, but we firmly believe that minimizing their presence during school hours will help promote better concentration, reduce distractions, and foster face-to-face interactions among students. Students may store their cell phones in their lockers for the duration of the school day and are welcome to use them after the conclusion of the school day.

To support this policy, we kindly request your cooperation in ensuring that your child is informed of this change. If there are specific reasons your child may need a cell phone for emergencies or other important matters, please contact the front office at (517) 817-4703 to discuss alternative arrangements.

We acknowledge this change may require an adjustment period for both students and parents. Therefore, our teachers and staff will be actively engaging with students to educate them about the rationale behind this policy and how it can positively impact their learning experience.

Parents will need to update their student's enrollment information annually. To do this, parents must have a PowerSchool account. This is created by the parent. You can reach PowerSchool via the app, or on our website. Once a parent sets up an account with the student's information, they are able to change addresses, phone numbers, emails. etc.

The 2024-2025 school year calendar magnet allows your student and you to track how many days they miss throughout the school year. It also provides you with a QR Code to scan to report an absence.
