Primary
Spring is around the corner, and the Primary Community is ready for some exciting events, learning opportunities, and activities. We have some great Ag lessons coming up in Primary with Mrs. Carter. The kids will be learning through observation that all plants and animals need the necessities of air, water, food, and space. We are excited and looking forward to Mrs. Carter's Ag lessons this month.
In Kindergarten Science, the kids will be learning all about Matter. The kids will describe and sort matter, find ways to change matter, and discover what happens when you heat or cool matter.
In 1st grade, the kids will be making rainbow twirlers with a Pot of Gold for St. Patrick's Day.
Our 2nd-grade classes will be participating in their annual Wax Museum. Chef It Up will also be here for an on-campus field trip for the 2nd grade.

Intermediate
The 5th-grade students in Mr. Jones' science class have been working hard on building cars out of recycled materials. Many students around the school joined in to watch as the 5th graders demonstrate their Make it Move projects.

FFA
February has been a busy month for our FFA members with a fair season. Exhibitors showed off their skills that they have developed throughout the year on SAE and CDE events at the Pasco County Fair and the Florida State Fair. At the Florida State Fair we received reserve grand champion in both our pullet project and our barn quilt project. We are so proud of all the progress that our exhibitors have made this year and their amazing work at the fairs.
In our ag classes this month one of the projects we completed was making a display for the dairy pride award at the Florida State Fair. Our theme this year was based off of the new movie “Wicked”. We used green and pink decorations, and made posters about common misconceptions and facts about the dairy industry. Our dairy pride display won first at the Florida State Fair. Thank you to all of the students that helped make this wonderful display!
