Message of the Month

Dear School Community,


With the final school days of the 2023-2024 school year upon us - there is much to celebrate! This time of year brings many school-based celebrations and traditional events that our school community cherishes. In recent weeks while spending time in our schools and at the special events that have already occurred, I have felt immensely proud of all the achievements that have been made this past year. I have said many times, in many places, that our school community is strong because of the incredible support given by our parents and guardians, the hard work of our dedicated staff members, our community partners, and ESPECIALLY our STUDENTS! As this school year comes to an end I am nothing but thankful for all of the efforts that have been made by so many individuals to make our students' learning experiences memorable.


I also would like to congratulate the Class of 2024 and their families on their upcoming graduation!

Principal Heidi Letendre

I am pleased to announce Heidi Letendre has been named Principal of Rochester Memorial School. Ms. Letendre has served as the Interim Principal since the beginning of this school year. I look forward to her continued leadership at RMS! Read more.

Principal Lynn Dessert

I am also pleased to announce Lynn Dessert's appointment as the new Principal of Sippican Elementary School, effective July 1. I am grateful for the parents and guardians, staff members and administrators, and school committee members that participated in the hiring process. Read more.

The 13th Annual Art Show is underway at Uncle Jon's in Marion. Ms. Butler's AP Art & Deisgn and Honors Art III classes have selected pieces to display until June 5th. Read more.

Recently members of the ORRJHS Student Affairs Committee collaborated with Wendy Copps from the Mattapoisett Land Trustr to prepare laminated story walks for the community. Read more.
