The Snow Forecast #12

Welcome back from winter break, everyone! We hope you had a wonderful time away filled with memory making moments and relaxation with your friends and family!

A couple of items to note:

The next session of chess will begin on January 15th. It will be for those that plan on participating in Saturday tournaments this spring.

Chorus will begin again on January 27th.

1/14: PTO Meeting, 6pm

1/20: Holiday, no school

1/24: 2nd quarter ends

1/28 & 1/29: NWEA Assessments for grades 4 & 5

PTO has been an active part of our school community! Just a few of the wonderful acts they have most recently done for our students and teachers are:

• Provided prizes for our PBIS weekly drawing
• Helped coordinate our 5th grade craft with Fruit St.
• Popped ALL the popcorn for our PBIS movie theater celebration
• Donated juice boxes for the movie theater celebration
• Gave every student a book of their choice right before vacation
• Helped provide teachers with much needed supplies for classrooms

All 5th graders traveled to Fruit Street School right before vacation to help PreK - grade 1 students create a winter craft. We were there for about an hour and once the craft was completed there was an opportunity for books to be read to each other. Both schools had a lot of fun interacting with each other.

The whole school worked the month of December to dress the Baby Rams hanging by the office in winter gear to earn a school wide movie theater afternoon. Every time each class got 50 RAM awards they were given a winter clothing item and they put it onto one of two Baby Rams. We got both of them ready for winter, so we enjoyed a movie of choice (or the game room), popcorn, & juice the afternoon before winter break!
