Trunk or Treat!
Thank you for making this yearβs Trunk or Treat at Hayes Elementary such a fantastic event! The amazing trunks and your creativity made the evening unforgettable for the kids. Special thanks to the PTO for organizing and to all the parents for their contributions.
Candy Donations!
One of our house projects this year is led by Altruismo, which is collecting candy donations after Halloween to support our Troops. Donations will be accepted starting tomorrow and continue through November 8th. Join Altruismo in giving back and making a difference for those who serve!
Social Emotional Learning - October/November
In October and November, our area of focus for social emotional learning is self-management. This is a very important theme, and is consistently the weakest skill set based on our Social Skills Improvement System (SSIS) screener. Lesson topics - differentiated by grade level - may include self-control, stress management, focus, problem-solving, goal setting and resilience.
