If you haven't already done your FAFSA, it is best to submit it as early as you can. Visit studentaid.gov to begin your 2025-2026 FAFSA!

FSA IDs are studentaid.gov accounts necessary to complete the FAFSA; these accounts need 1-3 days to become verified. Creating your account and immediately filling out your FAFSA will result in additional questions and sometimes errors. Get your account created ahead of time by visiting studentaid.gov. Refer to the video below for help getting your FSA ID created.

Each contributor to your FAFSA will need a unique FSA ID. Students and parents cannot use the same email address when creating individual accounts.

Many students have already completed the NC RDS. If you have not yet, this is necessary to receive in-state tuition and state funded financial aid. You will need your CFNC login and some personal information to complete this process.
