Walkathon Success!
We had an amazing time this morning at our HMS Walkathon! Our students were able to get in some great exercise and repeatedly dump buckets of cold water on my head. Our HMS staff is extremely grateful for the contributions from our families both via fundraising and time. Our PVC group has provided our students with exceptional memories and support and we cannot thank them enough! We're looking forward to the next fun events to come!
District 300 Note of Appreciation
We wanted to forward our district's message regarding their Notes of Appreciation process this school year. Our staff is filled with dedicated individuals that we would love to celebrate with you!
If you have any staff you'd like to receive this recognition, please fill out this form!
========================
Our District 300 staff do so much to take care of our students each and every day. Your specific words of appreciation can go a long way to support them. As part of our ongoing recognition of staff, we have developed this form to allow stakeholders to quickly jot a note of appreciation for a staff member's extra efforts.
Here are a few ideas to start your note of appreciation:
-My child was excited to share…
-I would like to say thank you for…
-I just want you to know…
-I appreciated your kindness/compassion/warmth/patience you showed my child when you…
-My child loves school because of your passion for....
-My child now can .... because you taught them....
Central Office administrators will hand deliver your note to the staff to acknowledge staff for their extra efforts.
Grade Check!
We're approaching October already! Please sit down with your students to review their current grades and discuss any important missing work, upcoming assessments, or academic support they need from their team!
October Family Night!
Hampshire Middle School will be hosting an ELA Halloween theme family night on Wednesday, October 23rd from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM. We will start off the night in the cafeteria enjoying candy salads while listening to Ella Johnson Library's exciting upcoming events. Afterwards you and your family will choose two engaging stations to attend from spooky word games, suspenseful reader's theatre, Halloween Scattagories or helping my child succeed in reading. We would love for you all to join us for this spooktacular time! Please fill out the RSVP by October 18th, so we can plan accordingly by clicking the following link: https://forms.gle/mFqySxQ7u3aMTnXd7.
HMS Class Shirts!
Good afternoon families! Now is your chance to get your student a class color tshirt or hoodie. 6th grade is Carolina Blue, 7th grade is Violet and 8th grade is Mint Green. The link is here. The store will close on 10/4.
Chromebook Support
Our students received brand new Chromebooks this school year and we need your support in ensuring they remain in good condition. The Chromebooks have cases and screen protectors and they are expected to stay on at all times. Intentionally removing these or damaging Chromebooks can void the warranty and leave families responsible for the repair cost and students in a situation where disciplinary action may take place. Please spend some time reminding your students of this during the weekend.
