LETTER TO PARENTS

Dear Parents of the Junior and Senior Classes,

The tuxes are ordered, the dresses have been purchased, and now it is time to make sure our children have a safe and fun 2024 Prom and Post Prom!

Although the Prom is hosted by the junior class, the Post Prom is sponsored by the parents of the junior and senior class students. We rely on parents to host this event from 11 pm-2:30 am on April 13/14 in the East Gym at SBHS. This event will provide a safe, fun, and memorable night for prom attendees and for those who wish to attend just the Post Prom.

Students MUST sign up to attend this event. They will not be allowed in the doors if they have not done this! The form has been emailed to juniors and seniors, so encourage your student to sign up ASAP.

Highlights for the night include:

● A Minute to Win It tournament, music, lawn games, and more!

● Pizza, fruit, vegetables, chips, cookies, and drinks available all night + a Coffee Truck!

● PRIZES! Students must be present to win. These prizes are donated/purchased by businesses and parents. 100% of the money is raised through donations.

● Grand Prizes are awarded at the end of the night and students must stay until the end to win one of these coveted prizes! Some examples from past years include TVs, sound bars, AirPods, etc.

In order to keep this event free for our students and to provide a safe and fun evening, we need YOUR help! Over the years, our costs have remained fairly steady. This breakdown shows the need for your assistance.

Entertainment $3500, Prizes $3500, Food/Supplies $1000 Total Cost $8000

Please consider volunteering for one of the following committees AND making a minimum $10 donation. This donation covers all food, entertainment, and prizes; but more than that, it provides for the safety of your student during the hours that are proven to be one of the most dangerous times of the year for high school students.
