Congratulations to our Teacher of the Year, Mrs. Geozos!
Congratulations on a great season!
We'd like to congratulate Coach Patterson, Coach Jordan and our volleyball team on a great season. We are so proud of your hard work and sportsmanship. Pictured below are our 8th grade volleyball players as well as some pictures from Teacher Appreciation Night.
Clubs during Advisement
Last year, we started clubs during the school day to give students the opportunity to participate in a choice activity, meet new friends, and connect with a different adult. Our 6th graders went to clubs last week, and 7th graders had clubs today. 8th grade has clubs in a couple of weeks. Our clubs cover a wide variety of activities including sports clubs, arts and crafts, music, board games, and sign language just to name a few. Below are a few pictures of our students enjoying the various clubs.
Friday Night Food Fight
We're excited to announce that September 9th - 19th, Twin Rivers will participate in the Friday Night "Food Fight" along with all schools in the Mountain View cluster. The Mountain View Cluster is competing against the Mill Creek Cluster to see who can collect the most food for our local co-ops. The co-ops support families in our community and are in desperate need of items. You will see a list posted around the school of the most critically needed items. Bring your donations to homeroom through September 19th! Thank you for showing Mill Creek and our entire community how generous and kind we are here at Twin Rivers!!
Staff Appreciation Donation
Join us for the Staff Appreciation donation-based fundraiser hosted by Twin Rivers Middle School! The funds raised will benefit our hardworking faculty and staff, allowing us to show them appreciation once a month. With your generous donations, we plan to set up an "Appreciation Station" where we will visit each teacher's classroom as well as our custodial, cafeteria, and clerical staffs with different treats like a coffee bar, cupcakes, popcorn, and more. Your support will help us to show our staff how much we appreciate all that they do. Thank you for helping us make a difference in our school community! Click or Scan the QR code to visit the link.

BOOK MOBILE 5K
If you are a lover of the cooler seasons, this email is for you!
The Book Mobile 5K has been moved to the fall!
Save The Date: November 2nd, 2024!
It's a lot earlier this year on Saturday, November 2nd, 2024 at the ISC! Just think of the cool, crisp, fall air that you'll get to run or walk in...
Why this event is worth supporting: The GCPS Book Mobile has given away thousands of books to students in our community - maybe even to your own kids! The bus visits TRMS twice a year and we give free books to students, every time. It also runs during the summer as a mobile library, allowing students in lower SES communities across Gwinnett access to books and oftentimes food. But the Book Mobile costs more than $50,000 each year to stock, operate, and run. This 5k is a way to keep the Book Mobile running and to give even more books to kids. ❤️
Can't make it? You can donate, too!
You may even win a special prize just for registering! 😉\

See you at the race!
Chick-fil-A Selling Day
Chick-fil-A is selling Half Wraps $6 and Sliders $3.50 every Wednesday during lunchtime.
Non-School Sponsored Club
There is a new student led prayer group starting next week on Sept 16th. It is a time of fellowship, fun and food. All girls are welcome. You must have a signed permission slip to join. They can be found in the grade level office. Return them to Mrs. Meaders in room 1.148.
