Hello prek parents. We learned all about voting, elections and presidents this week in social studies. We voted for presidents, songs, colors, characters, food, specialty classes, and teachers. We recorded some to seesaw for you to see. We read One vote, Two vote, I vote, You vote, Duck for President and The Berenstein Bears Big Election. We watched Brainpop jr. to learn more about this process. We will hang all results in the hallway for everyone to see. We learned all about the letter S in language arts. We brainstormed over 60 s vocabulary words. We practiced handwriting, phonics, letter recognition, sound to symbol, and inventive spelling in small groups. In math, We learned and read four different types of graphs. We continue to practice sorting, one to one counting, simple addition, and number recognition. We welcomed Sophia to our class for a discovery day. A special SHOUTOUT for ALL the birthday wishes and treats, I appreciate it and THANK YOU!!!!! Megan was our birthday champion this week and we got to celebrate with Logan last week....WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!!!!

We will dress down and wear green to celebrate character counts responsibility trait on Wednesday please. Dress down on Monday, NO costumes please, in any other way you choose. We will meet a new letter buddy. Please watch our video with your child. We will continue to learn about voting, presidents, elections, and graphing too. We will assess birthday's, addresses and other math concepts for report cards. Thanks for ALL you do. We are a great school because of you and your students.
