It was great to see everyone at Open House!

We’re excited to have the kids back with us at school next week.

School starts at 9:05am (student should be here by 9am)

School dismisses at 3:25pm for curbside and 3:28pm for buses.

Parent drop off starts at 8:45am at door 1 (front door)

Bus information on ParentVue - now available

• ALL parents should check ParentVUE Mon, Sept 2nd for any updates

• Special education routes are still being finalized. Parent should check ParentVue daily.

• If you do NOT have bus info listed in ParentVUE, contact the bus garage ASAP

• To find your students bus info go to the ParentVue app

• Student Info tab:

• Look for “additional Information” on the bottom right

**Please check this before the first day of school. There is the possibility of some changes. If anything is going to change, it could be the pick up or drop off times.

Curbside pick up starts at 3:25pm. If you have students at both Lakeside and Primary, pick up at Lakeside first

REMEMBER… parents are not allowed to take a left into the parking lot from Karmel Ave for curbside pick up.

• Also review the Curbside pick up procedures

**All families need a GREEN number tag for this year.

Other Information:

• Parents/Guardians must notify the office with a note or phone call by 2:45 p.m. if their child has a change in end-of-day transportation plans.

• Please refrain from cell phone use during curbside pick up.

• If your child is running late from their classroom, you may be directed to the main parking lot to wait for your child.

• If you forget your GREEN pick-up number visor tag, you will have to park in the parking lot and go to the office.

• We are not able to get students off the bus once they have been loaded

Student safety is our top concern. We greatly appreciate your patience and cooperation at this very busy time of day.

Our school has adopted the “I Love U Guys” Foundation’s Standard Response Protocol (SRP). Students and staff will be training, practicing, and using the protocol.

The Standard Response Protocol (SRP) is based on an all-hazards approach as opposed to individual scenarios. Like the Incident Command System (ICS), SRP utilizes clear common language while allowing for flexibility in protocol. The premise is simple - there are five specific actions that can be performed during an incident. When communicating these, the action is labeled with a “Term of Art” and is then followed by a “Directive.” Execution of the action is performed by active participants, including students, staff, teachers and first responders. The SRP is based on the following actions: Hold, Secure, Lockdown, Evacuate, and Shelter.

Attendance Matters!

If your child is absent or tardy to school, call the office at 213-2300 by 9:30 am to let us know that your child will be out. Please review the attendance information located in the student handbook.

Students that will be riding their bikes to and from school need to have parent permission. Please complete this FORM and turn it into the office. For students that are riding a bike home, they will come down to the office at the end of the day and wait to be dismissed after the buses and all pick up traffic has been cleared (typically 3:45pm)
