Each week, we challenge students, staff, and parents to a "Monday Mission." These missions are aimed at increasing relational capacity, modeling good social skills, and keeping all members of the Dix Street family connected. Give them a try and encourage your child(ren) to take part in our "Monday Missions!"

Student, Staff, & Parent Mission: This weeks Monday Mission is to ask someone what is the favorite nickname that they have ever been given. This is a great way to get to know someone better, plus positive nicknames are a great way to show endearment to one another!

September 24: Tailgate Meet and Greet with Mr. VanderKlok @ 6:00 p.m.

September 29: Delayed Start Wednesday, Doors open @ 9:40 a.m. School Begins @ 9:50 a.m.

October 5: Fallin into Fun Open House: 5-6 PM

October 7: 4th grade Field Trip to Lansing

October 4-8: Homecoming week. See below for details.

October 8: Homecoming Football 7:00 p.m. @ Bulldog Stadium

October 8: Progress Reports and Dashboards Sent Home

October 12: Watch Dog Kick Off Event 6-7 PM

Greetings Dix Street Families! It is so good to be back "home". I have enjoyed meeting with the staff this past week and getting to know all of your students. I have even enjoyed getting into classrooms this week to read to them! They have all made me feel very welcome my first two weeks.

Below is some continued opportunities for me to get to know you better as a parent.

Tonight we will be holding a meet and greet tailgate before the varsity home football game. I will be grilling hotdogs for Dix Street families in the far east high school parking lot from 5:30-6:30 PM. See the map below. The star indicates where I will be with the grill!

The last opportunity to meet me will be at our Dix Street Open House on October 5th which will be from 5-6 PM. We look forward to seeing your family there!

A few Key reminders for pick up and drop off.

1. Please do not park in a parking spot.

2. Stay in your car and allow your child to enter your vehicle curb side.

3. If you are a part of the 3:40 Pick-up line do not enter until you are waved in by a staff member.
