Dear Lake Forest Community High School,
Happy Friday! I am completely “fooled by the pink,” and excited to see Mean Girls on Saturday night. As I write this, the show is almost completely sold out–so if you are hoping to attend, please get your tickets NOW!
The start of spring’s senior nights has begun! It was fun seeing the many seniors in Boys Track and Field earlier this week, and I spy more Senior Nights next week. These events in the spring are particularly emotional as we approach the capstone of their time at LFHS–graduation. Here is to a successful end to the school year. Equally important, it isn’t the end of the school year…yet. Please help me to help our students stay engaged and committed to school until the end.
Here is to a beautiful, pink weekend!
Your proud principal,
Erin

SCOUTS NEED TO KNOW
Board of Education Seeks New Member - District 115
District 115 Board of Education announced the resignation of Dr. Marcus Schabacker, effective April 12. The Board is grateful to Dr. Schabacker, who has served since 2021, for his contributions to the District and wish him well in his future endeavors.
Following the Illinois School Code, the responsibility for filling the vacant position now rests with the remaining board members. They have a 60-day window from Dr. Schabacker's resignation date to accomplish this task. Failure to fill the position within this timeframe will shift the responsibility to the Regional Superintendent of Schools.
The Board encourages all interested and qualified individuals that wish to serve on the Board to submit an application. Completed applications must be received by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Once the Board of Education has reviewed the applications, selected candidates will be interviewed, and an appointee will be installed at the District 115 Board Meeting on June 4, 2024.

We are asking businesses and nonprofits, local, out of state, and abroad, to consider submitting available employment (permanent and temporary) and internship positions to be posted on our LFHS ALUMNI EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITIES WEB PAGE, housed here on the *Lake Forest High School website.

If you have any questions, please contact us at lfhsalumni@lfschools.net.
*Please note that the Employment and Mentor Webpages, while intended for LFHS ALUMNI use, can be accessed by the wider public.
