Club Spotlight of the Week
One of the newest clubs at LHS is the Muslim Student Association (MSA). Founded during the 2023-24 school year, the students use their club meetings to share in fellowship with fellow Islamic students, to educate others about what it means to be Muslim and to complete works of charity (including making blankets for Project Linus and collecting diapers for Homefront).
All students are welcome to join! The meetings always include some information and then a fun activity. The club is looking forward to planning some evening events this year and their annual Eid celebration. Check out some photos below. The MSA has its first interest meeting today, September 24, in the library during both lunches. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Cramer at ecramer@ltps.org.
Get Involved
There are endless ways to get involved at LHS! Click here to access the most up-to-date listing of clubs and activities offered. This document will be updated throughout the year as needed.
*PAY IT FORWARD*
Formalwear Donations
Mrs. Harvey's Advanced Sewing Techniques class is seeking donations of men's and women's formalwear (think bridesmaids dresses, old prom gowns, old suits, etc.). Clean out your closets and give those garments another life! Donations can be dropped off in the front entrance vestibule or to Room 720. Please contact Mrs. Harvey at eharvey@ltps.org with any questions.
Blanket Drive
LHS is collecting new, handmade, colorful, cheery, cuddly blankets for Project Linus, a non-profit organization that provides blankets to children in shelters, hospitals, and social service agencies. Give a little security, warmth and comfort to a child by donating a special blanket made with love. Blankets can be knitted, crocheted, tie-blankets, etc. (100% cotton, flannel, single-ply polar fleece, or acrylic yarn…please no wool). Click here to view the flyer for more information, or contact kroche@ltps.org with any questions. Students who make blankets can also earn volunteer hours for their time. The drop-off bin is located in the main vestibule at LHS.

The term translates to "open-air living" and is basically about enjoying a simple life in the outdoors without destroying or disturbing it.
