Re-registration for current DeSales families is open for the 2025-2026 schoolyear. For the convenience of our families, we will be using a one-step Registration Confirmation again this year. Please follow this email to confirm your child's registration for Fall 2025. This re-registration is how you will secure your students spot for the 2025-2026 school-year.

There is no school on Wednesday, January 29th in honor of Lunar New Year.

When dropping off your child in the morning or picking them up in the afternoon, please be aware of other children getting in and out of cars. Just as cars are not allowed to pass buses when they are unloading students, we kindly request that you wait before passing any cars in the school traffic circles that have students entering or exiting their vehicles. Thank you for helping keep our students safe!

Families who refer a new student entering Kindergarten through 8th grade are eligible for a $500 referral bonus! This bonus is given as a tuition credit 6 months after the new family begins paying tuition.

Thursday, January 30th: Future You The future is bright! In 20 years, will you be finishing medical school? Maybe you just cut the ribbon on your brand-new bakery? Will you be hitting homeruns for the Yankees? Are you teaching a classroom of kindergarteners? Or perhaps you will be tending to your crops? Show us future you! Students should dress in something that represents who they hope to be in the future. Faculty & Staff are invited to wear college sweatshirts.

Friday, January 31st: Blizzard of Kindness Day The month of January has been a Blizard of Kindness at DeSales! Today we are invited to dress in snowy hues of blue and white!

PEP RALLY - Prepared by the DeSales Student Senate begins at 1:00pm. Students are welcome to make signs to hold at the Pep Rally showing their school spirit! Musical cast members may wear their “Shrek, Jr.” t-shirts.

We will hold our Middle School Generation Celebration Mass on Wednesday, February 12th at 9:40am. Students have mailed invitations.

We are planning a Career Exploration Fair for our students on Thursday, January 30th at 1:30pm. We are looking for parents, grandparents, aunts/uncles or friends to represent their careers at this event. Career representatives will have spots throughout the gym while the students come and ask questions about your career.

Week 4: This week students will be challenged to do something kind in our community. Our final Blizzard week must be our biggest! Our Catholic Schools Week Community Project this year has been all about Lockport CARES. Each classroom is collecting items for Lockport CARES. Please see the list below for how your child's classroom is helping. All donations can be sent into school with students and will be accepted through Friday, January 31st.

Come join us for our winterrific family friendly walk-a-thon to raise money and awareness for the homeless and Lockport CARES. We have a 2.5 & 5 kilometer (1.5 & 3.1 miles) route from Christ Community Church - 140 Genesee St (just up the road from the Shelter), down and around Main Street and back up to the Church. We'd like to encourage you to register (www.cnoy.com/location/lockport) and ask your friends and family to sponsor you to walk. The event starts at 4:00pm and after a brief chat and safety talk we send you out to experience what it might be like to be on the street as a homeless person. You and your friends walk the route and return to the church for a hot bowl of chili or soup and hot coffee/chocolate to warm back up and share your experience with others.
