Congratulations to the following winners of the, "What St. Cecilia Means to Me," poster contest sponsored by the parish in honor of the recently celebrated Homecoming Activities.

Kindergarten: Abigail J., 1st Grade: Mary K., 2nd Grade: Francesca D., 3rd Grade: Olivia D., 4th Grade: Evie S., 5th Grade: Makenzie D., 7th Grade: Olivia M., 8th Grade: Rylee F.

We still have many students that need to turn in their club fee ($5). Please do so as soon as possible as we are entering the 2nd trimester.

The Christmas Pageant will take place on December 19 at 6:30 PM for grades 1-6 in the church. Mrs. Rahschulte is putting the final adjustments on the pageant and you will be receiving an email from her tomorrow.

Middle school students are learning google docs, sheets, forms, etc... skills through project based learning. 6th & 7th grade students learned how to insert tables, make links, link table of contents to other pages in their documents, along with practicing and reinforcing previously learned google doc skills. This coming trimester 7th graders will be learning through google forms & sheets. 6th graders will be researching travel and learning through google slides. 8th graders have created interactive maps to highlight specific tourist attractions like Lake Cumberland, Bellview, KY, Kings Island, and Castles of England.

K-5 students are learning through K5 Technology. This program has really pushed the younger students to explore new features of google docs along with learning typing skills. 4th and 5th grades have also learned about finding and sorting through reliable sources on the internet. 1st through 3rd grades have been busy learning how to do new things on google docs. These are valuable skills they will carry with them and be able to build on for mastery of these life skills.

It’s that time of year again when we host our annual toy drive. The Steinford Toy Foundation provides many toys for Northern Kentucky families. Last year we were able to give toys to over 3,600 needy children. Please consider dropping off any unwrapped new or gently used toy(s) to the school lobby between 7:00 am - 3:00 pm. We will be collecting items the week of December 9th - December 13th.

Students who bring in a toy will earn a “Holiday Attire Out of Uniform Day” on

December 13th AND December 20th!

It’s that time of the year again. We will be having a rock decorating contest in the cafeteria. I would like for the students to decorate and display it by our Christmas tree in the cafeteria. Be creative, colorful and enjoy making it with your family. If you have a rock that you would like to decorate, that is fine, or I have rocks available at the cafeteria. We will be judging the entries on who has the most creative rock.

Please return the decorated rock by December 16, 2024.

We really need help in our cafeteria on a daily basis. Great way to earn Parent Partnership hours. Kitchen Help will assist the cafeteria with serving food. Cafe Monitor will assist students with opening items and cleaning tables.

You must be VIRTUS compliant. Parent hours need to be logged in to Sycamore for approval!

Know anyone interested in learning more about the Catholic faith? OCIA is a program designed to help non-baptized, non-Catholics and non-practicing Catholics learn more about Catholicism through a series of classes, discussions, prayer times and ceremonies. This program helps people grow in faith and knowledge of God as they consider becoming Catholic.

OCIA Classes will be held on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM in the Middle School of St. Cecilia School.

Bishop John Iffert invites you and your family and friends to attend the third annual Bambinelli and Christmas Tree Blessing on Saturday, December 14, 2024, 5:30-7:00pm at St. Mary’s Park (Diocesan Curia). Come see the blessing and lighting of the Diocesan Christmas tree, listen to live parish and school choirs, enjoy homemade cookies and hot cocoa, and hear the Nativity Story. Bring the Baby Jesus figure from your home Nativity to receive a special blessing from Bishop Iffert and be part of a Catholic Advent tradition! No RSVP required. All are welcome!

St. Cecilia’s Youth Choir will be performing at this event.

Thank you SO much to all of the volunteers who helped during the Penguin Patch! This event was so much fun and we enjoyed helping your kids shop! Merry Christmas from the PTO!

We are hoping to host a Pancake Breakfast at Applebees in Crestview Hills THIS Sunday, December 15 from 8-10am. Tickets are $10 per person and are due TODAY. The sports committee is looking into how much interest there would be for boys volleyball in the spring. The leagues are open to boys in grades 3rd-8th. Please complete this google form. This is NOT a sign-up registration form.

Come help make the St. Cecilia Basketball League a success. Last year we were able to make almost $15,000 for our kids. The money raised is split with the school and the sports committee, so all kids benefit from this work. In addition, the sports committee has utilized funds to upgrade equipment for the gym classes and for recess. We can only support our kids when everyone jumps in to help. Please grab a volunteer slot today!

Come out for another epic night on 1/18/25 at 6pm in the Undercroft filled with live music, a coney bar, draft beer, games, and raffles while watching the NFL divisional round! Draft beer and coneys are INCLUDED in your ticket price!
