This week, during 8-9am Power Hour, students are working independently in centers. All students have their center's folder and know what to do. Computer Club
Accelerated Reader initial testing by Ms. Alvarenga
Starting Thursday, January 21, to Wednesday, January 27, Ms. Alvarenga will be conducting the initial AR testing for 2nd to 5th grade students. She will give students the second information session along with showing them the prizes they can win if they meet their goals. The top prize being $100 cash to the top point earner boy and girl. This year, Ms. Alvarenga will be running the program and prizes. Teachers, we will need your support by ensuring students select books that are at their reading level (outside the library) and allowing students to take quizzes on the computer.

African American Heritage Month Program--February 25, 5-7pm
At your next Team Meeting, please add song(s) selection to your agenda. Then, please communicate your grade level's song via email to the Multi-Cultural Committee Chairperson (Mr. Cortez) so that he can support you during Music class.
There was much improvement from our Hispanic Heritage Month Program to our Winter Program! Our parents had nothing but good things to say about the performances! All of your planning and preparations paid off! Thank you for your dedication to our students and families! I am confident that our African American Heritage Month Program will be even better!
