Dear Families,
My name is Alphonso Blakeney-Lewis, and I am excited to be your student's homeroom teacher for the 2024-2025 school year. With over ten years of educational experience and a diverse teaching and school management background, I am well-equipped to guide your child's education.
My goal is to foster students to become their best selves and harvest growth both academically and social-emotionally. We will work closely as partners, with your involvement, to ensure that students achieve their goals and move to the next stage in their academic careers.
As a DMV native, serving my community was always in my heart. After graduating from Bowie State University with my BA in vocal performance and minor in history, it was evident that teaching was my career calling. Throughout my career, I have applied integrated curricula that have fostered the whole child. I hope to provide your students with marvelous learning experiences this school year.

Meet Ms. Robinson
In addition to my role as a behavior technician, I serve the school as the after-school coordinator and head cheerleading coach. Through enrichment services, we can further our students' growth and talents. I want our young scholars to know they have someone in their corner.
I am a proud DCPS alumnus of Eastern Senior High School.
Meet Mr. Dyson
I will be serving as the instructional aide within the classroom. As a recent graduate of Elon University with a degree in psychology and a double minor in African/African-American Studies and communications. During my tenure, I have developed leadership skills while serving in the Black Student Union and the Center for Race, Ethnicity, and Diversity Education. With a strong passion on mental health and research, I hope to bring my knowledge to the classroom setting while assisting students in their overall growth.
I am a DC native and proud alumnus of School Without Wall Senior High School.
