Dear District 41 Community,

After spending the summer listening, learning, and preparing, it was exciting to kick off the school year yesterday. It was a joy to visit each of the schools and welcome everyone back. I'm extremely impressed by the passion and support I’ve seen throughout the district, from our incredible staff to our dedicated parents to our community partners. I am truly honored to call District 41 my new home and look forward to working together to enhance education for all our students.

D41 Board of Education Earns Governance Recognition

The District 41 Board of Education has been recognized for their exceptional governance practices by the Illinois Association of School Boards (IASB). They earned the School Board Governance Recognition honor for their effective governance behaviors and their commitment toward obtaining the knowledge and skills necessary to effectively lead the district. The School Board Governance Recognition program aims to showcase how good governance creates a positive impact for students, staff, and the entire district community.


"It is an honor to earn for the third consecutive time IASB’s School Board Governance Recognition for exceptional governance practices,” said District 41 Board of Education President Dr. Robert Bruno. “We continuously endeavor to improve our governing process because it ensures our community that the Board is functioning effectively to support their interest in having a high performing school district. This award further affirms our efforts."

Full Day Kindergarten Feedback Forums

District 41 recently celebrated the start of construction of a new Kindergarten Center. The center is scheduled to open in the fall of 2025 on the campus of Churchill Elementary School. Now that construction is underway, it is time to finalize programming and logistics for full day kindergarten!

Join Us for Full Day Kindergarten Feedback Forums in October starting with a Kick Off at the Board of Education Committee of the Whole Meeting on October 7. Engage with us and share your feedback!
