Google Keep is digital sticky notes. You can access them from your web browser, or from the app. You can add labels to notes to easily sort them.

Seeing AI

This app was created by Microsoft for the visual impaired. For students that are not visually impaired, it can help by reading aloud text from a printed page. This can be very helpful for students who need that oral accommodation with their day to day work.

TextingStory

This YouTube video explains how a teacher is using this in her classroom. She is having them post their creation in Seesaw after they are finished, which is a great way to share. Pair students up to have them practice spelling words or vocabulary together. Or let them work individually and come up with both sides of the conversation on their own.

Seesaw Sugggestions

I am so excited to see so many classes using Seesaw for students to showcase their work! If you are not familiar, Seesaw is a digital portfolio platform that allows students to post what they are working on in class. You can send home notes that allow parents to connect to only their child, so the work is secure and safe. If you are interested in learning more about Seesaw, please let me know.


Seesaw offers many opportunities for teachers to learn new ways to use Seesaw and ideas for their classrooms. I have shared one of the Seesaw activity libraries that I have found with many of you. I have found several more since then and would be more than happy to share. Use activities that other teachers have created to enhance your lessons.


Seesaw also offers something called PD in your PJs. This online professional development allows you to learn at your own pace. You can also choose to watch the videos that only apply to what you need for your classroom. These videos are also on YouTube, but if you access them from the link above, some of them have the slides used during the presentation. If you register for a session, you will automatically get an email with the slides and the webinar video after the webinar is over.


There are Facebook groups dedicated to each grade level where other educators share what they are doing in their classroom. This is a great place to find resources and connect.

This summer we are offering a one day conference - Cougar Con.

Apple Teacher

Log in here to become certified as an Apple Teacher. Each certification consists of 8 badges. When you complete all 8 badges on a specified track (either MacBook or iPad), you will receive the title of Apple Teacher. PD credit will be awarded within Eduphoria for your work. Keep me up to date with your progress by sending me screen shots of your badges so I can brag on you!
