Hello Raptors!
We hope all of our Raptor families had a wonderful Thanksgiving break full of gratitude and time well spent with loved ones!
It is now time for our annual Gingerbread decorating contest! If you're new here, families are invited to spend quality time together at home while decorating a gingerbread display as a team.
Families can then drop off their gingerbread creations to the front office starting Wednesday morning December 11th and no later then 8:20am on Friday December 13th.
These will be displayed in the cases under the learning stairs with voting taking place December 16-17th.
We will post pictures on our PTCO Facebook page for followers to vote for their favorites! Teachers/Staff at Riverview will be Voting as well.
RULES:
•All decorations and houses should be edible
•Please Include students name, teacher, and grade level
•House and Base should be no bigger then 12” high and 12” wide.
VOTING:
Teachers/Staff and People on our Facebook page will vote on the following categories:
•Most creative
•Most Colorful
•House you’d want to live in
•Most non-traditional
Winners will be announced on December 18th and all creations must be picked up on December 19th. We hope that you can share some festive fun with the family and we can't wait to see what you create!
Last but not least, if your family would like to participate, but there is a financial hardship. Please let the PTCO know at riverviewptco@gmail.com by Friday December 8th and we will provide a kit for you.

Lost & Found
Please check out Lost and Found racks in front of the Riverview Media Center. We have over 150 coats, jackets and sweatshirts that our students are missing! There are also several water bottles and a few lunch boxes. Items will be donated when the second semester begins.

2025 MLK Celebration Art, Music, and Writing Contest
We’re excited to announce the 2025 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Celebration! This year’s theme, “A More Excellent Way, of Love,” honors Dr. King’s belief in justice, unity, and kindness. We invite Pre-K to 12th-grade students to participate in our art, writing, and (new) music contest, expressing their vision for a world filled with fairness and compassion.
Submit your entries by December 11, 2024, at 4:30 p.m. Winners will be recognized at the Loveland MLK Community Celebration on January 16, 2025, where their work will be featured. For any questions, please contact Andrew Dutch (andrew.dutch@tsd.org). Let’s honor Dr. King’s legacy together through creativity!
Adult English Classes
The ELD program will be offering free English classes for adults again in the spring semester. The first session will be on Mondays, January 27-March 10, 6:00-7:30. The first and last classes will be in-person at Peakview Academy with free childcare, and the other classes will be online. Beginner and intermediate classes are available. Please join us in recognizing the amazing work by our Kindergarten Raptors in our music and art showcase! Our raptors have been working very hard and we would love to celebrate their success so far this year!

This is includes, but is not limited to, activities such as:

Once you register, the district will provide Riverview with your personalized volunteer badge. When you arrive at the school to volunteer, just find your badge at the front office desk and log in to the volunteer system. This helps us keep track of all the wonderful volunteer hours provided by our Riverview families!
