Dear Harmony DC Families, Students, and Staff,
We were thrilled to welcome you to a new school year! We hope you all had a restful summer and came back ready for the exciting year ahead. Our team worked hard to ensure we created an engaging environment where every student could thrive.
This year, we focused on building a community rooted in PRIDE: Perseverance, Responsibility, Integrity, Dedication, and Empathy. These values guided everything we did as we worked together for student success.

Harmony DC is thrilled to offer a variety of free after-school clubs to our scholars!

Character Day
On October 31, our school celebrated Character Day, a fun and engaging event where students showcased their creativity by dressing up as their favorite book, movie, or historical characters. It was wonderful to see the excitement as students brought their characters to life, sharing stories and inspiring one another.
A special thank you to our amazing parent volunteers who took the time to read books to our scholars. Your support and enthusiasm made the day even more meaningful and helped foster a love of reading in our students. We appreciate you!
Spirit Week
Thank you for making Spirit Week (November 18–22) such a success! It was wonderful to see our students showcasing their creativity, school pride, and enthusiasm each day. Your support in helping them participate truly made the week special and brought our community closer together.
We appreciate all you do to make our school a great place to learn and grow!
Bullying Prevention Programs
Our students have been hard at work preparing these incredible posters to raise awareness and promote kindness. Let’s all come together to create a safe and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and respected. Remember, standing up against bullying starts with each of us. Cox Farm Field Trip
We’re excited to share highlights from our recent field trip to Cox Farms! The students had a fantastic day. We look forward to many more enriching adventures!

Hispanic Heritage Month
Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! From September 15 to October 15, we celebrate the diverse cultures, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latinx communities. This month is an opportunity to recognize and honor the vibrant legacies that enrich our society, from the artistic brilliance to the innovative achievements that have shaped our world. Join us in exploring the rich heritage that connects us all celebrating the shared stories that continue to inspire and unite us.
National Museum of African American History and Culture Field Trip
On November 15th, our students had the incredible opportunity to visit the National Museum of African American History and Culture. Students engaged deeply with exhibits that highlighted the rich history, culture, and contributions of African Americans. The experience was both educational and inspiring, providing meaningful connections to our classroom learning.
Our Book Fair Was a Huge Success!
We’re thrilled to share that our Book Fair, held from Wednesday, November 13th to Friday, November 22nd, was a tremendous success!
Thank you to everyone who participated, whether by visiting in person or shopping online through our Book Fair Homepage. Your support helped us foster a love of reading and made a positive impact on our school community.

Canned Food Drive
The National Elementary Honor Society at Harmony DC PCS successfully hosted a canned food drive to support those in need this holiday season.
Thanks to your generosity, our NEHS students collected an incredible number of canned goods in the week leading up to Thanksgiving. Your contributions made a meaningful difference in helping families in our community.
We deeply appreciate your support and participation in spreading kindness this holiday season. Thank you!
🌟 Get Ready for Shine Bright Spirit Week! 🌟
We’re excited to announce that our scholars will be celebrating Shine Bright Spirit Week from December 16th to 20th!
Let’s come together as a school community to showcase our school spirit during the final week before Winter Break.
Each class will have a designated color to represent during Spirit Week.
Thank you for your enthusiasm and support—we can’t wait to see everyone’s school spirit shining bright!
Winter Wonderland Celebration
Harmony Mustang Families,
We are excited to announce our upcoming Winter Wonderland Celebration on Friday, December 20th!
To be invited, scholars must earn at least 100 Classroom Dojo points during the qualification period, which runs from Monday, December 2nd, through Friday, December 13th.
Scholars who qualify for the celebration will be notified by Tuesday, December 17th.
Those who earn this special celebration will enjoy a variety of winter-themed crafts and fun activities as we wrap up the semester and head into Winter Break.
Thank you for supporting our scholars as they work hard to shine bright and earn this exciting reward!
Honor Roll Assembly
We are excited to share that our Honor Roll Ceremony was held on Wednesday, December 11, to celebrate our students’ achievements.
We also recognized parents and guardians for their unwavering support, especially those with perfect attendance. Your dedication is truly inspiring.
