San Jacinto Intermediate

This will be our last full week of school. I really cannot believe how fast this year has flown by. I can still remember the first day of school like it was yesterday.

Thank you so much for all of your hard work during the STAAR test. It is always difficult to keep students focused for the week, but each of you did it!! I know that we can all agree TONIA did an outstanding job with everything STAAR related. From training to testing days...everything was on point! It is such a stressful job and she did it with ease. Not to mention the outstanding job CHRIS did with all things TELPAS! I am super LUCKY to have great folks to work with! Our campus is in such good hands with these two!

This week computers will be picked up, grades will be due, we will have our field trips for various groups. Please try to limit students in the hallways. To end the year on a positive note, we must make sure to have bell to bell lessons. There should never be free time at SJI. Students will perform what is expected. If they receive free time in some classes, then they will expect free time in all classes. This will cause students to think school is over and it will make the end of the year tough.

Thank you for everything that you do! We are in the Final Countdown!

5/30-31:

Work in your rooms/ work on check out

1. Label YOUR stuff. Make sure your name and room number are on everything.

2. DO NOT move any furniture out.

3. Have students stack chairs on tables. Try to move everything to the middle of the room.

4. Remove all paper, staples, and stuff off of the walls.

5. As you work on your close out list, make sure YOU are checking out with the designated person. Do not send students to get signatures! Also, we will begin giving signatures starting FRIDAY, not before. I will start taking the completed forms the following Friday.
