Message from Ms. Bratton, principal
Whoo Hoo -- we made it through October (and the candy-palooza day after Halloween)!
This coming week we are looking forward to honoring all of our veterans. We hope our community, especially our Veterans, can join us on Friday, Nov. 8 for our Veteran's Day assembly -- details are below.
Students will have their first progress report of the second nine weeks on Friday, Nov. 8. As in any start to a new grading period, grades can be significantly lower due to one poor grade as there are fewer scores overall. We have been providing guidance for students in Wrangler Time each Monday to check their grades and look for issues that need to be resolved. Ask your Wrangler to log into Skyward and talk through their grades/progress with you. Ask them about their action plan to fix any issues or push to improve in an area or two. They need all of us to help guide them toward great habits.
Finally, we are still needing a few more guest speakers for our Career Day -- it's coming up quickly. See below if you can volunteer or know someone who is able to volunteer -- we are interested in all careers AND trades!
We appreciate your support!

UIL Academics
UIL Academics is in full swing, and we had a great turnout at the recent interest meeting. If your child missed it or you want to know more, please check out this site or reach out to Coach T. (david.tomasson@comalisd.org).
Heater & Blanket Drive through Nov 30
As many local families are left without proper heating and blankets this winter, SBMS is doing our part to bring some warmth into the homes of our neighbors this holiday season. Drop off blankets, heaters or fleece material in the box by the counselors corner now through the end of November.
Career Day - Nov 15
We are excited to share the many different career opportunities our students could have in the future. There is a future for every student, and we want to help them realize it.
Would you like to share your career with our students? Do you know someone who would love to share their career with students?
Please complete this form (SBMS Career Day))or contact Vera Borg at vera.borg@comalisd.org if you would like to help make an impact on the futures of SBMS students.
A Message from Nurse Keith
We are starting to see some illnesses on campus. Please be aware of Comal ISD policy regarding fever, which requires that all students and staff be free of fever (100 degrees and above) for at least 24 hours, without the use of fever reducing medications, before returning to school. Thank you for working with us to help prevent the spread of illnesses at school.
