NEWS AND INFORMATION
Car Line Procedures
The drop off line continued to get better each day! Thank you!!! For your reference, we will continue to share the video for a few weeks: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGh2xyAjlr8
Feedback on our highlights:
- All walkers, bikers (bike racks are located on the sidewalk near caregiver drive loop) and students dropped off by caregivers will enter and exit DOOR 1. FEEDBACK: Great work!
- Caregivers who are dropping their students off or picking them up must stay on the right side of the loop. Students will exit their cars on the curb side as you follow the line to the East corner (there is a sign posted). DROP and GO . . . students should be ready to exit their cars quickly to keep the line moving. FEEDBACK: If the cars are moving in front of you, please do not stop to drop your child until you reach the sign stating "parent drop off begins here". We moved the sign further down the drop off lane for your reference. Thank you for staying on the right side and dropping your child on the curbside! For the safety of your child and others, please do not drop off or pick up your child up on Kinawa Road.
- Our staff will use the left side of the lane to park in the staff lot. Do not enter the staff parking lot to drop your student off. FEEDBACK: Great work!
- Students who ride the bus will enter and exit doors 20 and 21 (end of the 8th grade halls). FEEDBACK: Great work!
- We will open door 1 at 7:30 to allow students to eat breakfast and prepare for the day.

CADL
The Capital Area District Library is partnering with school districts in its service area to provide students with access to their educational resources. Through this initiative, Chippewa students can get a public library card no matter where they live. It gives them access to books, audiobooks, magazines and more in both digital and physical formats.
Having a Student Success account requires release of directory information to CADL. Any parent/guardian who does NOT want their student to have an account can opt out by contacting their building librarian by September 13, 2024.
EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES
Throughout the year we will be offering a variety of clubs and sports teams. As the seasons near, we will post the information in Chipp Snips. We encourage all students to find a team or extra-curricular activity to join! If you have questions regarding our athletic programs, please email Mr. Ridley at andre.ridley@okemosk12.net. Please communicate directly to club sponsors for questions.
Science Olympiad Coach
We are looking for parent volunteer(s) to coach our Science Olympiad team. If you are interested, please email jody.noble@okemosk12.net.
