Dear Duniway School Community,

What a great week at Duniway! This morning, we had our annual Duniway Volunteer Appreciation Principal Coffee. It was a wonderful community gathering, with many of you joining us for donuts and a choir performance. A special thank you to Mrs. Adams for celebrating our volunteers with some tunes. We truly could not do this without all of our amazing volunteers, who are not just helpers but an integral part of our close-knit community. We are so grateful for you!

Thank you to the team that pulled off our Fund Run last Friday. According to the report this morning, we have raised $28,000 for the PTO with some more trickling in. Well done, Duniway.

The foundation met this Tuesday and generously allocated $207,000 towards staffing for the 2024-25 school year. This is incredible and will go a long way in supporting all of our students. Please be reminded that not only does that money serve Duniway students, but a third of it will go to the Fund for PPS and serve students across the district.

The playground team is working away. The team has the structure built, and I feel like we are getting close. The hope is that we will be finished in time for the carnival on June 7th. My fingers are crossed. We definitely need more carnival volunteers, so please sign up on Konstella to help out!

The Springshow Case is next week on May 30th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. We are excited to welcome you and your students. Read more about it below.

The CARNIVAL is Coming to Duniway - June 7th from 5-8pm

Can you help us make the Duniway Carnival a huge success? The carnival is a beloved Duniway tradition put on entirely by the PTA. This is a volunteer heavy event and we need your support to pull it off. Please consider donating a few hours of your time to support the event. We need volunteers to help set up, run the booths, take down and sell tickets in advance of the event. Please sign up for a slot (or two!) on Konstella

The PTA is starting to build next year's line up of activities and would love to hear which classes kids enjoyed and ideas for new programs to consider. Please fill out this survey to share your feedback!

The Successful Schools Survey is an opportunity for students, staff, and families to provide important feedback on our school environment, learning experiences, and sense of well-being and safety at Duniway.

The survey is conducted once every school year to provide timely information to schools, district leadership, and the community, allowing us to make informed decisions about school climate and culture. We use the data to help improve our schools, providing targeted feedback and training on how to create healthy school environments that are welcoming for all.

You can complete the Successful Schools Survey online using the link provided below. Please complete one survey per household. If you have more than one student at PPS, we ask that you complete the survey considering the experiences of your eldest child.

The survey will take approximately 15-30 minutes to complete and is available in English, Spanish, Russian, Somali, Vietnamese and Chinese. This year, the survey window is open May 6-31.
